Ovsanna Badalyan is a renowned nail industry expert, master instructor, founder of Ovsanna Beauty salon, author of top-rated nail courses, and winner of the FAME TIME International Nail Championship. Based in Los Angeles, she has been shaping the beauty industry for nearly eight years, inspiring both students and professionals alike.
— Ovsanna, how did your journey in the beauty industry begin?
— My passion for beauty started in childhood. Even as a little girl, I loved self-care, and I was especially fascinated by nails. Every night, instead of going to sleep, I would paint them a new color to match my carefully chosen outfit for the next day. I often stood out with brightly designed nails, decorated with rhinestones I applied myself.
At thirteen, I had a moment of revelation. I met an eighteen-year-old nail technician who had just bought herself a Lexus—all with money she had earned on her own. That image stayed with me forever. Inspired by her hard work and success, I couldn’t stop thinking about the nail industry. I felt a deep desire to pursue this path and build something of my own.
Fate led me to Moscow, where my professional journey truly began. There, I trained as a nail master, marking the start of an exciting new chapter—one that would eventually lead me to international success.
— When did you realize you had become a true professional?
— Working in Moscow, I quickly understood that to stand out, I needed to keep learning. I immersed myself in training, constantly upgrading my skills and mastering the latest industry techniques.
After gaining experience in a high-end salon, I realized my passion extended beyond creating beautiful nails—I wanted to teach and inspire others. That was the moment I understood I had reached a level where I could not only work as a professional but also shape the next generation of experts.
— What sets you apart, Ovsanna?
— My uniqueness lies in my dedication, attention to detail, and personal approach. I truly care about people. I support my students not just during their training but far beyond it. I create unforgettable graduation ceremonies, help them find job opportunities, and stay connected throughout their careers.
I also have a natural talent for nail design and love taking on bold, creative ideas. But beyond that, what truly sets me apart is my determination. I set goals and achieve them. I always give more than what’s expected. And, on top of everything, I speak three languages! (smiles)
— Was there a turning point in your career?
— Absolutely. The biggest shift was transitioning from a top-tier salon master to a trainer. One night, I sat down and wrote a business plan for a training center. The next day, I presented it to the salon’s management—and they approved it. That’s how my journey as a trainer began.
I put all my knowledge, experience, and best techniques into my courses, determined to train true professionals. But I didn’t stop there. I made the bold decision to move to the U.S., where I could take my expertise to an even higher level.
— Why do students choose you?
— Many of my students say they are inspired by my dedication, ambition, and passion for my craft. They appreciate the unique atmosphere and aesthetic of my salon, as well as the real results they achieve. In fact, many of my students come to me through recommendations from past graduates.
As a trainer, I take my role very seriously. I ensure my students receive the highest quality training, enriched with valuable insights and hands-on experience. Their future success is my priority.
And of course, I believe every milestone should be celebrated! That’s why my graduations are always grand, elegant, and unforgettable—hosted in the most luxurious venues.
— What professional values do you live by?
— Responsibility, honesty, mutual respect, high service standards, continuous growth, clear boundaries, and effective time management.
— What’s next for you?
— My plans are ambitious! I’m working on launching my own International Nail Championship,
regular workshops to elevate industry standards, and expanding my business to create more job opportunities.
I also dream of establishing a nail academy, becoming an industry-certified judge, and—on a personal note—starting a family and welcoming a daughter into this world. (smiles)

— Inner peace, good health, and the strength to bring all my dreams to life.
