Meta has been granted a patent for an AI system designed to manage social media accounts after the account holder's death or a hiatus. The bot would simulate user activity, such as liking posts, responding to messages, and commenting on friends' content. According to Business Insider, Meta states it currently has no plans to develop this technology.
