According to a new report from blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis, the use of cryptocurrency in human trafficking networks increased significantly in 2025. The firm notes that while this criminal activity is rising, the inherent transparency of blockchain technology can provide law enforcement with greater visibility into these operations.
