ПОЧЕМУ ПЛОХОМУ БЫСТРЕЕ УЧАТСЯ,

чем хорошему?

Я долго размышляла, почему нас так легко привлекает негатив?

В нас это заложено на глубинном уровне, и выкорчевать это не так то просто.

Мария Монтессори считала, что мирному сосуществованию, взаимоуважению, внутреннему контролю, компромиссу надо учить с детства! Тогда бы не было войн, и всё бы решалось мирным путём!

В каждом Монтессори классе, в нашей Idyllwild Montessori тоже создан такой уголок, где есть "Роза Мира" и книга, которые служат инструментом для решения конфликтов между детьми.

Доктор Монтессори была удостоена премии мира три раза, в 1949,1959,1951, но ни разу её не получила ...

Montessori peace education is a core part of the method, viewing education as the path to world peace by cultivating inner calm and social harmony through practical life skills like conflict resolution, empathy, and global understanding, integrated into daily activities rather than taught as a separate subject, fostering respect, self-regulation, and compassionate global citizenship from childhood. 

Inner and outer peace focuses on developing a child's inner peace (calmness, self-control) first, which then extends to peaceful interactions with others.

Peace isn't a single lesson but woven into the prepared environment, materials, and daily routines.

Conflict is an opportunity to learn life lessons. Disagreements are seen as chances to learn negotiation, perspective-taking, and compassionate problem-solving.

Global citizenship promotes respect for diversity, human rights, equality, and understanding different cultures. 

How it's taught in the Idyllwild Montessori School:

Through the self - regulation.

Children learn mindfulness, deep breathing, and calming techniques , like using a smooth stone or Long Rods labyrinth, to manage emotions.

Communication - we guide children to express their needs, listen actively, and use polite, constructive language.

Community collaboration - the mixed-age classroom encourages older children to mentor and younger ones to learn from collaboration, fostering social cohesion.

Respectful actions - we are modeling gentleness, caring for the environment, and celebrating different cultures through lessons and stories. 

Our goal to raise individuals who are inherently peaceful, understand their role in a global community, and are motivated to create a more just, equitable, and harmonious world, a vision championed by Maria Montessori herself, who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times (1949, 1950, 1951) for her profound belief that peace is built through education.
