Krasnodar, 20 Jamuary – Yug Times. Municipal services in Adygea have begun using ground-based unmanned vehicles. The remotely operated equipment was put into practice in Maikop, where Lenin Square became the site of a live demonstration of driverless snow-clearing technology. A pilot version of the robot not only cleared snow around the monument but also attracted considerable attention from passers-by, many of whom took part in the presentation. The company behind the development says the robots’ technical and operational characteristics make them well suited for integration into municipal utility systems in settlements of any size. “This is a multi-purpose platform designed for municipal services. It can be fitted with various attachments, including a flail mower, a rotary brush and a snowplough,” said Sagid Pshikhodzhev, the engineer responsible for developing the unmanned cleaner.
