31 years ago, in the morning, around 11:30 a.m. on January 8, 1995, units of the 901st and 218th battalions of the 45th Airborne Regiment came under mortar fire in Grozny near Oktyabrskaya Street. On that day, 13 soldiers were killed as a result of the shelling.
