Welcome to the blog. To make your studies useful and systematic, follow these steps.
1. Open the post with the desired chapter
Each chapter of the book is a separate entry.
Choose it in the order of reading so that you don't miss important events.
2. Complete the "Before Reading" tasks
These tasks help activate your knowledge and prepare your brain for understanding the text.
• to remember or learn new words,
• to remember grammar
Don't skip this step - it improves text comprehension.
3. Read a passage or chapter
The text can be adapted or original.
Your task:
• to read carefully,
• to mark words that are not clear (but not every word - only key words),
• not to be distracted by translating each sentence.
The main thing is general understanding.
4. Perform the "While Reading" tasks
These are content-based tasks.
• choose the correct answer,
• answer short questions.
Write directly in the comment.
5. Do the "After Reading" tasks
This is the most important stage, because here you actively use the English language.
You need:
• answer the semantic questions
• do the creative task
Try to write in your own words - this is the best way to develop the language.
6. Do the vocabulary work
In each chapter there is a list of words. Your task:
• choose 5-10 words that you want to learn
• write your examples of sentences
This is how you add to your active vocabulary.
7. Write a small personal comment
Each post has comments where you can share your opinion.
Answer the questions:
• Did you like the chapter?
• What surprised you?
• What was the most difficult?
This teaches you to express your emotions and thoughts in English.
8. Submit your assignment
