Ann-Sofie Back (born December 10th 1971) is Swedish avant-garde designer and founder of the brand Ann Sofie Back Atelje. She became famous for her “anti-glamour” collections with a touch of irony and humor. Ann-Sophie Back was born in the ordinary Swedish family, where her parents were not very interested in fashion. However, at the age of seven, the girl showed an interest in beautiful things and helped her parents choose clothes for work and going out. After completing her studies in St Martins College of Art & Design, Beck collaborated with the English brand Joe Casely-Hayford in London, various brands in Sweden, including Acne Jeans. She did fashion shoots for glossy magazines, including Self-Service and Purple, and also worked with the Miu-Miu brand, preparing an advertising campaign for the Spring-Summer 2001 season.
