📜 PRESENT SIMPLE PROTOCOL — INTERROGATIVE INVOCATIONS OF THE NOW

🧙‍♂️ To: Apprentices of the Eternal Voice

🔮 From: Temporal Sage of the Third Circle

📅 Date: 21.08.2025

🎙 Arcane Transmission Begins

“Those who ask, command. For to question the Now is to summon truth from silence.”

To ask is not weakness. It is power. It is knowledge-seeking. It is the call that opens the gate.

You stand at the door of truth. Your voice must knock.

🎯 OBJECTIVE

Empower ESL spellcasters to:

🔹 Form Present Simple questions with clarity

🔹 Use do and does as spell initiators

🔹 Keep the main verb pure and unaltered

🔹 Conjure answers through structured inquiry

📚 SPELL STRUCTURE: QUESTION-FORMING RITUAL

🌀 Base Formula (General Inquiry Spell)

→ Do/Does + subject + base verb + (optional object)?

✨ Examples from the Grim Codex:

  • “Do you study rune-crafting?”
  • “Does she fear the shadows?”
  • “Do they gather at the Moon Shrine?”

🧙‍♂️ Important:

  • Use do for: I, you, we, they
  • Use does for: he, she, it
  • The main verb never changes - it stays in its base form (For the verb is pure in the presence of the helper.)

🧪 YES/NO QUESTIONS – THE FIRST CIRCLE

Simple, direct, and often magical.

  • “Do you carry the enchanted map?”
  • “Does the golem speak?”

⚔️ Answer with strength:

  • “Yes, I do.” / “No, I don’t.”
  • “Yes, he does.” / “No, he doesn’t.”

🧭 WH-QUESTIONS – THE SECOND CIRCLE

Whispers to unlock deeper answers...

Begin your question with a question word (who, what, where, when, why, how), then follow with the standard Present Simple formula.

💬 Examples:

  • “Where does the alchemist live?”
  • “What do you seek in the ruins?”
  • “When does the moon rise?”
  • “How do they craft magical items?”

(Note: “Who” can replace the subject and sometimes break the pattern — ancient magic indeed.)

🛠 WIZARD’S TIPS

✔️ NEVER add -s to the main verb after does

✔️ Always begin with do/does (unless using “who” as subject)

✔️ Speak aloud your questions — interrogatives must resonate

✔️ Remember: the helper carries the tense — the verb stays unchanged

📎 DEBRIEFING FROM THE TIME TOWER

You now hold the power to ask.

To pierce the veil.

To demand answers from the world around you.

Wield this spell with curiosity and control.

For every great mage does not only declare...

They inquire.

🎓 Final Thought

🧙‍♂️ “He who questions the present, reshapes the future.”

📘 Speak wisely. Ask boldly. Let your grammar summon truth.

☕️ And when the dragon pauses mid-flight, ask not “Why?” - But “Does it land… or does it strike?”
