Investments Fuel City's Economy
Krasnodar, 6 August – Yug Times. Over the past ten years, 58 investment projects totalling 111 billion roubles have reportedly been implemented in Krasnodar.
“Investment means, above all, the growth of Krasnodar’s industrial potential and the creation of new jobs — which is particularly important for a fast-growing city of over a million people,” emphasised Dmitri Vasily ev, First Deputy Mayor of Krasnodar. Among the largest projects carried out between 2015 and 2025 are: the establishment of manufacturing facilities for construction materials; greenhouse complexes for cultivating leafy greens and mushrooms; a factory producing PVC window and door profiles and aluminium profiles; expansion of production of import-substituting heavy machine tools; the construction of a covered market in Yelizavetinskaya; and a new basketball sports complex.
One of the most significant ongoing investment projects is the construction of a new airport terminal for domestic and international flights, along with supporting infra structure, covering an area of 370 hectares. The total investment for this project stands at 27.8 billion roubles.
