Введение
Во введении необходимо написать все “вводные данные” для вашего эссе:
- я выполняю проектную работу
- на предложенную тему
- нашел статистические данные
- представленные в таблице / диаграмме
- данные – это результаты социологического опроса
- среди определенной аудитории
- в определенной стране
- в своем эссе я собираюсь проанализировать (или прокомментировать) данные и выразить свое мнение по теме проекта
I am doing a project on why some Zetlanders refuse to go to work by bicycle and have found a table with the results of a relevant survey. In this essay I am going to comment on the survey data and express my opinion on the subject of the project.
Описание фактов
В этом абзаце необходимо представить 2-3 факта о результатах социологического опроса. В начале вопроса нужно сослаться на источник данных, потом дать отсылку к вопросу респондентам, и уже после - представить 2-3 факта с числовыми показателями. According to the table, 49% of the respondents refuse to go to work by bicycle because it is too far to go. Unfavorable climate conditions are the major obstacle for 24% of those surveyed. A shortage of roads with bicycle lanes is the reason why 13% of the respondents do not cycle to work.
Сравнение с комментарием
В этом абзаце необходимо привести одно-два сравнения и как минимум одно из них прокомментировать. Сравнение должно быть существенным, а комментарий должен объяснять разницу между показателями. Predictably, the figure for the option “Few bicycle parking lots” (8%) is significantly lower than the figure for the option “Too far to go” (49%). That is understandable as a bicycle does not take much space and can be parked almost anywhere. A long distance to work is a greater problem. No one wants to spend too much time or get tired on the way to work.

В этом абзаце необходимо привести неабсурдную проблему и предложить к ней реалистичное и конкретное решение. Проблема должна относиться к тому, о чем спрашивается в соответствующем пункте плана. Связывать проблему с данными соцопроса не требуется.

Unfortunately, there is a problem that can arise with riding a bicycle in a big city. Not all roads have bicycle lanes. Cyclists are sometimes forced to share the roads with cars. That is dangerous since traffic in a big city is usually heavy. To ride safer, a cyclist should choose a route through quiet streets, yards and parks, where traffic is lighter.
Заключение
В заключении необходимо эксплицитно выразить свое мнение по вопросу из последнего пункта плана и объяснить свою позицию.

In conclusion, I believe that the best way of getting around a big city is by public transport. It is usually a fast, safe and reliable way to get to any point in the city.

Количество слов в эссе
В задании сказано написать 200 - 250 слов.
Допускается отклонение в количестве слов на 10%, т.е. в эссе может быть 180 - 275 слов. Если в работе меньше 180 слов, то автоматически выставляется 0 баллов за все эссе. Если в работе больше 275 слов, то эксперт отсчитывает 250 слов и проверяет только этот текст. Скорее всего, автор такого эссе потеряет баллы, а сколько именно - зависит от того, что осталось в проверяемом тексте.
