Was there something that flabbergasted you while you were in UK? (Culture-wise)

*to be flabbergasted - to be amazed/удивленный, ошеломленный

Well, this one made me think 💭

Actually I was going there quite prepared (given the fact that I’ve spent my whole childhood reading texts about uk and its culture 😅)

But still there were quite a few things:

-the amount of Indian and Pakistani people

-english men are extremely noisy

you literally have to shout if you are down the pub and want your interlocutor to be able to hear you

-the lack of ability to choose clothes according to the weather (shorts and slippers when it’s chilly outside 👌🏼)

-britons can go shopping to the nearest store wearing their pijamas

-divisive data about crime rate - everybody keeps saying about its high level + absolutely not safe

I’d say - it’s not more dangerous than in an average megapolis

I’d love to come back, for sure ❤️
