How to improve your speaking skill.

Speaking skill is the most difficult for the most of us because it requires a lot of energy and discipline. I know that many people don't speak at all despite of they have been learning language for many years. They explain this defect in their learning process by "I have no fellows to speak with". But the point is that the only person who is needed for this exercise is you. We don't need someone to improve our speaking skill because you can do it on your own.

1. We can speak to ourselves using the unique gift from God - our imagination. We can imagine anybody and tell him or her what we want. You can imagine Keanu Reeves or even Jesus Christ and discuss with them all your problems or just some books or movies and their plots.

2. If you have ever read Napoleon Hill you can use this method. Draw in your imagination a comfortable room and your friends. I mean non-existent friends, characters who live in books, games or your imagination. For example, I like Nick Valentine from Fallout 4. When I have a moral choice I can call him and discuss this choice. He is almost a holy person despite of his synthetic nature. So, if I have doubts I can explain me that I have to do the good choice. I can explain it through this character and this is a cool thing which only we people can do, thanks to our imagination.

3. Just time a few minutes before going to bed and tell to yourself how you spent this day. It is difficult to make the brain work but as soon as you started speaking it continues by itself.

4. You can also use a week discussion technique. It means that during a week you are busy by doing your English learning tasks. To the end of a week you have to gather a lot of information, questions, intentions, ideas etc. You can just sit on a chair or stay infront of a mirror and discuss to yourself all the questions you've got.

5. You can do notes during a week. Write out all you are interested in. You loved a quote - write it out. You found the inspiration in someone's words - write them down in your diary. You can do this till Friday, for example. On Friday you can write a speech, using all your notes and then make that speech infront of a mirror. You can make this speech without any preparations as well, just peeping in your notes. Look in your diary and tell where did you hear these words or where did you read this quote. As you start such speech you'll find yourself discussing something in a very deep way. It's only difficult in the beginning, then you just speak without pauses.

6. You can try "Speak What You See" technique. Just describe what you see right now. You are at work - explain what you are looking at right now. You are walking through your hometown, going to a grocery store - just tell to yourself what you see. "I see a row of trees; there are three maple trees and two oaks; I guess it is a pigeon over there; he is blue and grey; dusk had fallen and grass seems gray due to lack of light..." It is not difficult to do this work at any time. You don't have to sit infront of a laptop or with a pen and a notebook at a table. You can describe whatever you want at any time as I said. That's the main advantage of this technique. And you have no excuses, of course.

7. "Tell What You Hear" - this method is similar to previous one. You just explain or describe out loud all you hear and it is really cool.

There are a lot of other cool methods and all that stops you is your laziness because all you need to practice your English is your desire, your intention. Then choose one of the offered methods and use it every day for a couple of weeks. If you don't like it just try the next one. You can try all techniques you have found in the internet if you want. The point is to keep going and that's it.
