Мой Степан – не какой-то там обычный дворовый кот. Мой Степан – кот поистине ученый. Не верите? Тогда убедитесь в этом сами. Сегодня Степа поделится с вами вариантом решения, пожалуй, самого сложного задания устной части ЕГЭ по английскому языку.
Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Indoors vs. outdoors”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project.
In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
• explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
• mention the advantages (1–2) of the two ways of spending time;
• mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two ways of spending time;
• express your opinion on the subject of the project – whether you prefer indoor or outdoor activities, and why
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

I believe they suit our project ,,Indoors vs. outdoors’’ in the best possible way as both of them are devoted to this topic. In the first picture we can see a couple of children playing table football (also called foosball) in a place that looks like a gaming room. The second picture shows a group of teenagers playing football (also called soccer) on a football pitch.
The main distinction between the pictures lies in the fact that they present different ways of spending time. In the picture on the left we can see an indoor activity (namely, a parlour game) whereas the picture on the right presents an open-air activity (namely, an outdoor sport).

To my mind, both ways of spending time have their benefits and shortcomings. Looking on the bright side, people playing indoors are sheltered from bad weather while those spending time outdoors breathe fresh air.

On the other hand, homebodies are at risk of putting on weight and becoming unhealthy. As regards outdoor game lovers, they are more susceptible to serious injury than those who favour staying at home.
• express your opinion on the subject of the project – whether you prefer indoor or outdoor activities, and why
Personally, I am a health-conscious person, so I definitely opt for outdoor activities. ‘’A sound mind in a sound body’’, our ancestors once said.

Если вам понравилось, как решил задание ученый кот Степан, он будет рад поделиться с вами решениями и других аналогичных заданий – а именно тех, которые вы ему пришлете.
