The reason for the sharp increase in propane prices in Uzbekistan was insufficient production growth, a sharp increase in the number of cars running on this type of fuel, and the presence of resellers, the energy minister said. He stated that the cost of propane will stabilize by the end of the year.
From April to September 11, its value on the stock exchange doubled — from 4.59 million to 9.28 million soums per ton, and by the end of October 7 it had decreased to 8.7 million soums
According to him, 45-48 thousand tons of propane-butane mixture per month are spent on household needs in summer, and up to 56 thousand tons in winter.
The head of the Ministry of Energy also noted that prices did not rise suddenly, and the entire volume offered on the exchange was realized. Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov explained that from May to September, the supply on the stock exchange decreased due to a decrease in consumption.
When asked if prices will stabilize by the end of the year, the minister replied: "Yes, they are stabilizing. Now the price is kept at about 8.5 million soums. This is 5500-6000 soums per liter. If the tankers are not too [greedy], prices will stabilize," said Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov.

Глава Минэнерго также отметил, что цены не выросли внезапно, и весь предложенный на бирже объем был реализован. Журабек Мирзамахмудов пояснил, что с мая по сентябрь предложение на бирже уменьшилось из-за снижения потребления.
На вопрос о том, стабилизируются ли цены до конца года, министр ответил: «Да, стабилизируются. Сейчас цена держится на уровне около 8,5 млн сумов. Это 5500−6000 сумов за литр. Если автозаправщики не будут слишком [жадными], цены стабилизируются», — сказал Журабек Мирзамахмудов.
