In this painting, we cannot see any precise details. The whole composition is submitted in a form of smooth contours, suggesting us that this is a group of young people, who are resting in the country on a perfect summer day. However, this easiness of the painting is capable of transmitting to us a perception of presence at the place, as though the unoccupied part of the table is destined for us, and we, as well as the nice girl in a stripy dress, would come up to them and would assimilate into their friendly group of friends.
