Karl Otto Lagerfeld is a German fashion designer, photographer, collector and publisher. Until his death, he was the permanent main fashion designer of the Italian fashion house Fendi (since 1965) and French Chanel (since 1983), with whom he had lifetime contracts, and also created collections for Chloé.
