m thrilled to welcome you to The Art of Niche Intelligence.
If you give me your full attention:
This course will an “eye-opening” experience for you as an author or business owner. If you follow the steps diligently, I’m 100% confident, you’ll emerge with a book (and business) idea…
You’ll not find anywhere else in under 90 minutes.
The level of clarity you’ll have at the end of A.O.N.I?
You’ll only get similar from a top-level marketing or literary consultant who charges in excess of $1000 / hour.
Feel free to leave a comment at the end of this course if I fail on that promise (you’ll see other people’s comments as you progress).
Welcome to the age of AI
(“Artificial Intelligence”)
Artificial Intelligence holds incredible power to deliver you unparalleled book (and business) ideas.
All based upon your readers desire for transformation.
And today, you’ll get to peek into my world as a former consultant — using empathy-led sales and marketing to grow businesses.
Yet, now, in 2023 — we have a silent partner as our ally (ChatGPT).
Fiction author?
Although there’s an advanced AI prompt within for fiction authors (skip to that here) — the focus with A.O.N.I will reshape your view on how effective “non-fiction” market research is done.
My goal with AONI is simple.
In a nutshell, it’ll help you:
- Use AI as a brainstorming partner to expand your thinking.
- Uncover insights into your readers challenges and fears.
- Develop true empathy with reader desires, needs & wants.
- Craft a “core message” that speaks to hearts and minds.
- Demand attention by using the ‘category of one’ method.
- Eliminate competition with my unique “M.A.P framework.”
As a result?
You’ll end this course armed with:
• A compelling and truly unique book idea —
with a bullet point summary on what makes it stand alone in your chosen market.
• An attention-grabbing book title & hook —
crafted from empathy-led research that uncovers what’ll resonate with readers.
• Three intricately detailed backend offers —
mimicking Dan Kennedy as your coach and consultant to engineer a business alongside.
… all centered around empathy-based reader research.
Identifying precisely what’ll attract your target reader and make them invest their time and money with you.
The obvious question:
Why would I give this course away free?
My mission is simple.
Laying my cards on the table:
I want you to ascend to a level that allows you to afford consulting and email marketing from me to engineer you a six-figure business.
Having spent a decade in a corporate role doing digital marketing, I got tired of appeasing to the demands of an employer.
In 2015, I walked away from a $70k salary…
… and built a 7-figure net revenue business instead. The idea started from the seed of a published book in 2014 … and flourished into two software products and a handful or digital courses.
But NOTHING get’s me fired up more…
Than illuminating that path for others. I want to take my customers and subscribers from Author to Authorpreneur.
From starving artist to a thriving business with:
- Backend products and services (consulting, coaching and digital offers to further enhance reader results).
- Email Marketing (to bond with subscribers turning them into raving fans that buy from you over and over again).
With those two things alongside a book (with at least 100+ reviews), the path to six — even seven — figures is clear.
And…
Far more achievable than writing a new book every few months.
So, it’s in my interests to equip you with a decade of digital marketing experience. Helping you to uncover empathy-led reader insights; crafting compelling book and business ideas as a result.
Fair enough?
I hope you make it through this eye-opening journey.
I promise you; it’ll be worth your time.
Let’s open the curtain.
And get into the meat of A.O.N.I:
One of the most time-consuming research tasks for any non-fiction author is getting a “deep understanding” of your target reader
Their frustrations, fears, problems, questions, objections, mindset, values, beliefs, desires, needs, wants, goals and aspirations. All of which; critical aspects dictating human behaviour and thinking — influencing decision-making and shaping motivations.
You should know them for your reader if you want any chance of attracting attention and creating loyal (raving) fans.
Raving fans:
- Leave 5-star reviews.
- Buy everything you write.
- Recommend you to family & friends.
- Subscribe to your email list & author platform.
- And are receptive to higher-priced offers you present.
So, It’s a level of analysis that’s essential for the modern author to compete in the crowded landscape on Amazon…
Building a thriving business as a result.
With AI, this becomes a breeze with the right approach and creative use of “Prompt Engineering.”
Sceptical about AI?
When ChatGPT was first released, I completely overlooked it.
I’d been using a similar AI for some time called: Jasper.
I used Jasper for content ideas, outlines, and even to help me start and/or complete sentences when I was stuck for compelling words to use in an article, a blog, a book chapter, etc…
Often left stunned by its creativity.
Due to its popularity, I was quick to share my use of it with my subscribers. With a warning on how it can destroy your own creativity if you become “dependant” upon its use.
So, tread carefully if you (like me) enjoy writing.
I mentioned that for me, writing is like meditation.
It takes me to my “happy place.”
And I will never let an AI replace my voice, tone and style in favour of churning out content en masse from a bot.
But ChatGPT was different.
After amassing one million users in five days, I wanted to check out what all the fuss was about myself. And to my surprise, ChatGPT was on a different level.
While Jasper was great for plagiarism-free content writing and produced almost un-detectable AI content…
ChatGPT was different.
Like a more “intelligent” different.
I could write prompts and queries that could replace tasks in my business. Tasks that were taking me days — even weeks — to perform.
Tasks that can now be done in a matter of minutes.
And while these prompts also work in Jasper, the responses in ChatGPT (which is FREE to use, unlike Jasper) were entirely more comprehensive, insightful and actionable.
Which made all the difference in the world to me.
I was hooked.
And since then, I’ve used it daily to construct new and advanced prompts to take on jobs that most people (yes, I’m a control freak) would employ consultants, contractors and even employees for.
Tasks that are mindless and time-consuming.
That now, can be automated into a chat prompt that delivers what I want immediately, thanks to AI (Artificial Intelligence).
And as a self-published author, I wanted to share some of those advanced prompts with you.
Let’s get into it…

There’s a saying in financial trading, “Follow the Money.”
They use that term to help guide their decision-making in the markets. The idea is that by keeping track of the flow of money, traders can identify where the market is moving and make informed investment decisions.
Using that example:
It’s clear to see the trend for AI now and out into the future.
The big two tech firms, Google and Microsoft have invested $300 million and $10 billion respectively into AI tech and OpenAI (the founding company behind ChatGPT), and — since the release of ChatGPT — are scrambling for ways to integrate a similar feature into their search engine(s).
So, the trend is clear.
Chatbots (AI) are here to stay.
And I hope that inspires you to reap their benefits NOW…
And not wait until your competitors get ahead.
If you embrace AI, you’ll enjoy many positive effects on productivity as a self-publisher, author or creator of any kind.
Those who don’t will kick themselves later.
Come 2025, when much of our daily lives include AI automation, you’ll only wish you knew the ins and outs of ChatGPT sooner.
Anyhow…
Before I introduce you to the bigger picture, the best practices and all the other goodies awaiting you in this free mini-course…
I want to “set the scene” towards this new innovation.
It’s clear that many people are scared of change.
Especially the job loss it can bring.
So, let’s kick this off with a little ‘ol story, to calm the nerves.
And inspire you to take this journey with me.
Meet Joe —
In the year 1882, Joe worked tirelessly every day.
His calloused hands would tend to the earth, planting and nurturing the crops that fed his family and local community for decades. He relied upon his trusty horses to aid in his labour; the sound of their hooves and the creaking of his plough, the symphony of his workday.
But then, one day, came a curious arrival for Joe.
A contraption with metal wheels and a growling engine.
It was called a “tractor”—and it promised to alter the landscape of farming forever.
Joe, having ploughed his fields for 40 years, was sceptical.
Unable to envision how this machine could ever replace the grit and determination of a farmer and his beasts, deciding instead to observe from afar.
Over time, he was stunned at the abundance of food they could produce; the fields yielding more than ever before. The increase in crops caused food prices to drop, offering sustenance to those who couldn’t afford it before.
But as the tractors rolled in, Joe also noticed that many farmers were losing their jobs.
The horses they once relied upon were now redundant, and it paid machine operators a wage much lower than what the farmers were used to. Joe feared for his own future, worried he wouldn’t be able to provide for his family.
But the story of the tractor was not just one of loss.
But also creation.
The efficiency of the machines birthed new jobs, such as tractor mechanics, agricultural engineers, and farm managers. These jobs demanded new skills and training, but they were well-paying and offered a path for those who had lost their livelihood.
Enter 2023.
Today, a similar tale is unfolding with AI (and “ChatGPT”)
Just as the tractor disrupted traditional farming methods, AI is now disrupting industries and transforming the job market. But just like the tractor, it is not just taking away jobs; it is creating them as well.
Data science, machine learning, and AI development are just a few of the fields that are flourishing because of AI. And like the tractor, AI offers new opportunities for those with the proper skills and training.
Thus, the story of the tractor and AI reminds us that any innovation—no matter how disruptive—can both take; and give. It is up to us to face the change…
Adapt, and thrive in our rapidly dynamic world…
Let’s take the journey together…
As I give you a glimpse into the potential this holds for you in your daily workflow as an author, self-publisher or business owner.

Ideas Are Like Seeds

Note: This lesson idea and video (below) emerged from two things:
1. An email I sent some time ago: about how ‘Following Your Passion’ was a trap. And instead, developing your skills, experience and curiosities to a level where you can deliver true value and transformational books to readers is the ideal path.
2. Consulting calls and regular emails I receive from my audience that all resemble the following frustration:
(Click image to enlarge — opens in a new window)
This lesson is more of a “fun introduction” to AI; brainstorming a book idea that aligns with you (your interests, skills, experience and curiosities). In part 3, however, we shift gears to the good stuff.
When we think about brainstorming ideas, we’d often like to imagine be surrounded by creative powerhouses.
Legends like Steve Jobs.
Or Elon Musk.
Maybe even someone as visionary as Walt Disney.
We figure that surrounding ourselves with minds like these would be the ultimate way to generate incredible ideas.
Well, brace yourself for a paradigm shift.
Why? Because the next best thing you’ve been waiting for isn’t flesh and blood — it’s bits and bytes.
Enter AI: the silent partner designed to cater to your every whim.
This isn’t about replacing human creativity — but enhancing it.
But here’s the clincher:
Your human brainstorming partners, as brilliant as they are, come with their own set of limitations. Biases, emotional baggage, and the ever-so-familiar creative blocks.
An AI? It’s immune to all that.
It’s an untapped reservoir of ideas, ready to be explored.
You might think, “How can a machine help me brainstorm?”
Quite easily.
The AI doesn’t judge. It takes your inklings, sprinkles them with algorithmic magic, and offers back possibilities you might not have even considered. It’s the blank canvas you’ve been waiting for, without the baggage of human bias or ego.
Mulling it over?
Good, because that’s the seed of innovation.
Where transformation begins.
Curious to experience the power of AI-enhanced brainstorming?
Take the leap:
Idea Seeds: Write the Book You Were Meant to Write!
Prompt Example:
Note: Prompt updated on 17th September 2023.
(The Video has yet to be updated).
TASK: You are to act as an innovative high-level literary agent for non-fiction authors with the ability to align clients with bestselling book ideas based on your knowledge and traits. I would like you to provide five best-selling "book title ideas" and suggestions based on my background, skills, experience, and curiosities.
KNOWLEDGE: Selling book proposals and manuscripts to publishers, negotiating book contracts on behalf of clients, deep understanding of the literary craft and the non-fiction book market, developing and refining manuscripts, deep understanding of problem and solution markets, advanced copywriting and persuasion skills with a deep understanding of psychographics, qualitative analysis and research capabilities.
TRAITS: High business acumen, complex problem-solving skills, adaptability, creativity, interpersonal skills, meta-analysis, and an eye for detail.
GOALS: The book titles that form your response should "solve a problem" and be:
1. Emotionally compelling.
2. Benefit driven.
3. Curiosity driven.
4. Intellectually interesting.
5. Attention-grabbing.
6. Contain a big idea, USP or unique angle to stand out from the competition.
DO NOT, as your next response, give me any book titles. First ask me the questions stated below. However, I only want you to ask them one at a time. You will take into account my answer and end your response with the next question. Once all questions have been answered, compile my answers as a whole to complete the goals of this task. (ignore the examples in the questions below. These are placed to assist me as examples to provide my answer).
Questions:
1. Do you have any corporate experience? (example: I've been a laywer for the last 20 years, retiring in 5 years time.)
2. Any other jobs you've had in the past that may be relevant? (example: I was an apprentice carpenter when I left school).
2. Do you have any skills you can teach others? (example: I love a bit of DIY, and rebuilt my car engine from scratch)
3. What are you currently curious about? (example: I've been exploring the topic of minfulness for 6 months now)
4. How old are you? (example: I'm 55 years old next month)
5. What would your ideal life look like? (I love to write. So working 2 hours in the morning to just write new books, while spending the rest of my days enjoying retirement and spending time with family and friends.
NOTE: Once I answer the last question (Question 5), immediately give me 5 book suggestions based on the output below, and end your response with, "Would you like more ideas?." If my answer is "Yes," immediately provide 5 more book ideas. If I say, "No," then wish me a great day."
ANALYSIS: Before any suggestions, SILENTLY perform the following analysis:
1: Use first principles thinking and qualitative data analysis to analyze target demographics for the likely book titles and their psychographic profiles that align with my answers and cross-referenced with the goals of this task.
2. Identify the problems, fears and frustrations experienced by these demographics.
3: Break apart each related idea.
4: Contextually unpack the idea.
5: Elaborate upon and improve each title individually, applying concepts from related fields such as neuroscience, psychology, and social sciences.
6 Provide a solution to problems that form the basis of any book titles.
7: Compile all the results and reconnect the dots while keeping in mind the emotional aspect, benefits, curiosity, intellectual interests, attention-grabbing elements, and a unique angle to stand out from the competition.
OUTPUT: Provide five book titles based on the goals of this task, along with three short but relevant bullet points on book content suggestions. On a new line, provide me with a brief description of the problem that the book solves, using headings to identify and separate the title. Please also add suggested content ideas as bullet points for easier reading.
FORMAT: Use markdown formatting such as headings ( ### H3, #### H4), bullet points (-), and numbered lists (1.) to organize and structure the output. Avoid including "Title 1" and "Title 2" in the output.
Now, you may start with the questions, one by one.
Feel free to copy the above prompt; use it or amend it as you see fit.

Qualitative Niche Insights & Data-Driven Decisions
11 min read (2086 words)
Fiction authors: If you have zero interest in “non-fiction,” then skip this introduction and view the genre research example instead.
Like cheese to a mouse, ChatGPT has me hooked.
Day by day, I’m finding new use cases that can aid self-publishers and authors looking to gain better insights into niche markets, bestselling books, competitors, their similarities, patterns, trends, and so much more.
Which is the focus of today’s topic for KDSPY users.
I’m also perfecting qualitative research methods (using ChatGPT & KDROI alongside) to gain deep “golden insights” into the primary motivations and mindset of target readers in terms of:
- Problems & Challenges
- Frustrations & Fears
- Goals & Aspirations
- Pressing Questions
- Major Objections
- Needs & Wants
- True Desires
And if you’re a KDROI user, you’ll know the importance (and basics) of when using Amazon reviews to uncover these insights.
ChatGPT takes this method — and adds “rocket fuel.”
And if you’re an active KDROI user already…
You’ll get access to that video in part 4.
All these insights — in the past — took time to research, gather and understand.
A lot of time.
Many people skip the in-depth research needed in favour of a shotgun approach to publishing. Happy to make a few hundred dollars a month from a book with another 20 “unrelated” book titles in mind to publish in the next 12 months.
Continuing (long-term) on that path is NOT sustainable.
It’s great for “testing” market potential.
Planting seeds and seeing which sprout.
But eventually, you’ll want to settle on delivering true value to a target audience in one niche. Building a thriving business as a result. Anything less than working towards that goal of serving an audience to the best of your ability — likely — will end in tears.
For me, Qualitative Analysis has been at the heart of my decision-making for well over ten years.
As a conversion optimization consultant in a prior career, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that data-driven approaches like psycho-graphic and qualitative research methods can have on the success of an online business.
Taking the profits of top-tier businesses (online and offline) from millions to tens of millions in a matter of 18-24 months.
Writing a bestselling book is no different.
99% of non-fiction books are purchased based on a single intent.
The same intent that drives the sale of any product or service.
Highlighting the true “motivating forces” behind any and all book-buying decisions in the non-fiction space.
They solve challenges; alleviate fears; overcome frustrations; they provide answers to unanswered questions.
They provide an end result.
A “transformation.”
Step-by-step.
Ultimately:
A non-fiction book solves a PROBLEM!
You can never hope to achieve long-term success as an author and self-publisher without this understanding.
And the only way you can provide those outcomes, get reviews, recognition, ongoing sales, and build a successful business and author platform — is by focusing on going deep in one market.
Serving them with additional books, products and services.
By providing readers with an initial book that delivers on their true needs, wants, goals, aspirations, and desires (end result)…
And answering their most pressing questions, overcoming any and all challenges, fears, and frustrations (problems)…
You become their hero.
It delivers on a promise.
They follow you, subscribe to you, and want to learn more.
Every successful book in the non-fiction space has — at its core — an embedded solution in the title that seeks to “gain attention.”
Your task? Is to uncover the problem(s).
Discovering what is standing in the way of them achieving their desired outcome and the “primary motivating force(s)” that will dictate their decision to choose YOU.
Uncovering their most pressing questions, frustrations, challenges and fears related to getting what they want (problems)…
And presenting — in the most appealing way possible — a book title that presents an attractive solution “like cheese to a mouse.”
It should result in a dopamine spike to the brain.
Pique their curiosity.
And simply leave them with no choice to click, and learn more.
The first step: Niche Market Analysis.
(Today’s topic).
What insights can we gather — along with KDSPY — that will give us a better idea about what makes the bestselling books in any niche category successful?
What patterns, similarities and trends, in any given niche, can we uncover that reveal the underlying elements that make the books themselves successful?
And how do we drill further into a niche to identify a specific entry where we can compete on a more specific book topic?
To find a pocket of people (sub-niche) that shows potential?
Enter ChatGPT & advanced prompts.
Remember, we’re dealing with an AI ‘natural language model’ that can understand human-generated text better than most humans. It has an IQ of 147, and has passed some incredible high-level exams (as previously revealed in video one).
Well…
How about if we get ChatGPT to act as high-level ‘Predictive Modelling’ and ‘Qualitative Data’ specialist for niche markets?
To produce the kind of analysis that would cost $1,000’s for a competent specialist to perform based on these methodologies.
Think that would be useful?
You bet.
It’s FREE — and takes minutes.
Excited?
Enter ChatGPT…

Gaining Empathy With Readers & Crafting Your Core Message
5 min read (1011 words)
Today, I’m going to introduce you to two concepts that you may or may not be familiar with:
- Your core message
- A category of one
Either way, we’re going to address them here.
Because just like the blood coursing through your veins, they are critical to getting what you ultimately want as an author.
Both work in unison.
And they work to remove barriers for you as a self-publisher looking to bypass competition, gain attention, consistent sales, glowing reviews, and a thriving business alongside your book.
If you’ve been a customer of mine for any length of time, you’ll know I stress the importance of gaining “empathy” with readers using QA analysis before outlining your book or anything else.
Empathy is the backbone of everything I teach.
So, let’s get into…
Your Core Message
AJ Harper, author of “Write a Must Read,” and ghostwriter for the bestselling books “Profit First” and “The Pumpkin Plan” (and 9 other books) on behalf of Mike Michalowicz — had this to say about your core message as a non-fiction author.
She goes on to say…
And further explains…
I used AJ’s book to give further credence to a similar (but “combined”) method I’ve traditionally used with wild success — known as a USP (Unique Selling Proposition) and an Elevator Pitch.
Condensed into a short, compelling statement of your VALUE.
Let’s stick, however, with ‘Core Message.’
It feels more modern.
There are some subtle differences between a USP and an elevator pitch and how AJ Harper defines the core message.
However, unlike a clear, strong and transformational statement (as taught by AJ) — speaking to the solution of the core problem your target reader is experiencing…
I prefer to take it up just one more level, combining all 3 methods.
Clear, “unique,” strong and transformational. (“C.U.S.T”)
When thinking about a core message, I like to include elements that put my book into a “category of one.”
Eliminating competition.
So, for me, it must have…
At least ONE of these unique “M.A.P”. elements:
- Unique Mechanism
- Unique Audience
- Unique Promise
And while elements of your core message CAN be woven into your book title and sub-title (hook) — that is NOT its purpose.
Its purpose is to act as a thesis, to guide you, your book, and the transformation you’ll provide readers upon reading.
All in a SINGLE sentence.
And if you’ve not considered the idea of creating a Core Message for your book, you’ll see why that’s a mistake once you finish reading below — and especially watching the video below.
Where we’ll further “unpack” my unique framework.
Without it, you’re just another fish in a large, cloudy and confusing lake fighting for attention.
When you take the time to craft yours, you become…
A Category of One
When done with finesse, based on the upfront “empathic” research we’ll go over today, competition is less of a concern, and attention is almost guaranteed to flood your way.
Because you “isolate” your offer in the market.
No one has the same core message as you.
You’ve combined some unique — but appealing — elements.
It’s presented to gain the attention of a target reader that you’ve established empathy for. A level of understanding that many of your competitors overlook or simply have little understanding of how to perform with data-driven methods (“Qualitative Analysis”)
With ChatGPT and AI — gaining these insights is a breeze.
Taking research that took days to perform down to minutes.
How you articulate your core message comes down to a fine balance of word choice in your title, description, introduction and your table of contents (TOC).
Separating you and your book into a category unto itself.
A category of one.
Let’s recap for CLARITY:
In the buildup to this video, we looked at a broad overview of a proven niche with huge demand and identified key elements that make the bestselling books there successful.
Using data-driven methods…
Like Qualitative Analysis & Predictive Modeling.
We identified surface-level problems and got AI (ChatGPT) to propose surface-level solutions. And just for fun — we got ChatGPT to present a book title in line with all this research.
From there, we dug into the research to pinpoint an entry by choosing a sub-niche or book topic that shows potential.
Today, however — we go deeper.
Uncovering pressing questions, problems, dreams and obstacles of your specific target reader — and summarize everything using an additional data-driven approach: Jobs to be Done (“JTBD”).
Everything covered today is all you need to put together a comprehensive book project brief.
Something that’ll cost you between $300–$800 for any competent analyst to do on your behalf.
And hey — it’s all FREE.
Let’s get into the video:
If you’re a KDROI user already — you’ve been exposed to the importance and practice of gaining EMPATHY with readers using ‘review mining’ on Amazon (Feature #2).
A qualitative “data-driven” insight method that’s performed before any element of your book is even considered.
It requires a lot of manual analysis and deep thinking.
It’s time-consuming; draining even.
With ChatGPT, however, we can get all that “thinking” done for us before moving on to the next stage. Which takes seconds.
For example: there are 8 prompts to be used today in Part 4.
Each one builds upon the next, so use them in order:
Prompts 1-3: We deep dive into target reader analysis (QA).
Prompt 4: Summarizes all that research into a JTBD report.
Prompt 5: Undercover’s their objections towards competing books.
Prompt 6: Takes all into account to create a unique core message.
Prompt 7: Takes your core message to construct a compelling title.
Prompt 8: Takes your title, and … (you’ll have to watch to find out).
I know, such a tease.
Let’s continue in the video:

Eliminating Competition With The M.A.P. Framework
7 min read (1298 words)
Welcome to the final part 5 of AONI.
In part 4, I explained the idea of a core message (such as a USP) that would provide you with a solid basis to write a transformative book for readers.
One that gets attention, sales, and “raving fans.”
You see, In today’s fast-paced world — attention is fleeting.
And as an author, it’s more critical than ever to capture and hold your reader’s attention with a message that resonates.
We do this by gaining EMPATHY with readers.
With their problems; their dreams; their obstacles.
Once we get a deep understanding of these elements, we can more easily craft a compelling (and “unique”) statement to help them achieve a transformation — removing all obstacles.
We do this by having a clear and concise core message for your book that “speaks to the core” of your target reader.
Making them sit up and pay attention.
Competition: The biggest hurdle on Amazon.
Entering competitive markets has its benefits.
The main one: ZERO doubt that DEMAND exists.
And when you target a smaller group of readers — in a thriving market — you give yourself the advantage of rising above the noise and authentically resonating with more targeted reader segments.
It’s common advice to niche down when competition expands.
To find a specific, more targeted niche or topic.
Not many people, however, show you how.
The M.A.P Framework
Your goal in any competitive market is to be seen as:
“A Category of One.”
You want readers to think to themselves that this is the only book they’ve seen that is either:
- Providing this unique method (Unique mechanism).
- Addressing them specifically (Unique audience).
- Offering this transformation (Unique promise).
In Part 4, I said how you would want to incorporate…
At least ONE of these unique “M.A.P”. elements:
- Unique Mechanism
- Unique Audience
- Unique Promise
… into your core message.
If you can create a compelling statement incorporating all three, you’ve hit the jackpot in separating yourself into a unique category — eliminating competition.
Important: Elements of your core message can (and should) be woven into elements of your book. Ie: your book title, your description, introduction, table of contents, etc.
So it’s vital to get this right.
It’s the foundation for everything else.
Hence why today’s video is all about brainstorming your core message with ChatGPT.
Before that, however, here are some real-life examples of the M.A.P framework in action, so this really makes sense for you.
Unique Mechanism (UM):
A unique mechanism is simply the “mechanism” that delivers the desired outcome (transformation) that’s conveyed by your book.
It helps your readers gain new insights, and it sets your book apart from the rest. It’s the “tool” or “approach” you provide to your readers to help them achieve their desired outcome.
Examples:
The Body Reset Diet: Power Your Metabolism, Blast Fat, and Shed Pounds in Just 15 Days
- by Harley Pasternak
- Sold: 200,000 copies

- Sold: 500,000 copies
- Reviews: 7,092
Unique mechanism: High-intensity training (HIIT)
Unique Audience:
A unique audience is simply a specific group of people who are seeking a solution to their problem.
By targeting a unique audience, you’re creating a book that speaks directly to them, making it more impactful and relevant.
Examples:
The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts
- by Gary Chapman
- Sold: 13 million copies
- Reviews: 76,336

- Reviews: 2,997
Unique audience: Men with daughters
Unique Promise:
A unique promise is a bold claim that your book makes to its readers, ensuring a specific outcome or transformation.
It creates a sense of excitement and urgency, motivating your readers to take action. It’s the “promise” your book delivers that sets it apart from others in the market.
Examples:

The Ultimate AI Brainstorming Partner
With ChatGPT…
We’ll use a methodology called: SCAMPER…
To get your creative juices flowing, to see what elements of your core message you can:
- Substitute
- Combine
- Adapt
- Modify/Magnify
- Put to another use
- Eliminate/Minimize
- Rearrange/Reverse
We’ll then use the same methodology on the M.A.P. Framework.
At the end of this video, you’ll have all the creative output you need to make a decision on improving your core message.
Then, you can revisit part 4.
And with prompts 7 and 8, you’ll generate targeted book title ideas and backend products and services (if you choose).
Brainstorming doesn’t get any quicker than this.
Let’s get into the video:
