Attack on Titan Plot Breakdown | Season 5 - Yes or No?

Оглавление

Greetings, dear readers ;). This is my very first post and I ask you not to judge strictly. Today, a controversial situation has reigned around the famous anime "Attack on Titan". Someone watching the finale says that Eren did the right thing, and someone says that his actions were devalued. And many are also interested in the question of the future of this anime and whether there will be a 5th season. Today I will tell you my theories based on facts.

Content:

  1. Plot development.
  2. 1 season.
  3. Season 2.
  4. Season 3.
  5. Season 4.
  6. Summary of the storyline.
  7. Mikasa and the Progenitor.
  8. What common? Will there be a fifth season? And what it will be like.

Plot development.

First, I would like to look at this part. The whole story is divided into 4 seasons. As in all works, the plot is divided into several parts: Commencement Development of the plot Climax Resolution. Now let's look at the plot.

1 season.

The first season, as in many other works, is an introductory part that introduces the viewer or reader to its characters. In Season 1, we see Eren taking a nap under a tree and waking up with tears in his eyes when he sees Mikasa. In the same episode, we see the Armored and Colossal Titans break through Wall Maria. In the last episode of season 4, we learned that Eren knew that his mother would die. This means that even then Eren saw the future memories of the progenitor titan. In the same season, Eren began to use the power of titanium and ended up in the Survey Corps after the trial. Afterwards, as we remember, Annie turned out to be a special female titan and surrounded herself with stone.

Season 2.

Well...what can we talk about season 2 with 12 episodes?) This season we learned about the titans within the walls and met two more titans. These are the Titan Ymir and the Beastlike Zik's. And soon we also find out that Christa is Historia of royal blood.

-3

Season 3.

This season turned out to be quite eventful. In season 3, we were able to meet Kenny Ackerman, Levi's uncle. This season we learned about Levi's past. In the same season, the Survey Corps faced a difficult choice during the battle with the Beast. Levi sent his friend and commander Erwin to certain death, telling him to abandon all his dreams. And then the Beast was defeated by Levi for the first time. Erwin was seriously injured, and Armin received burns all over his body from the Colossal's steam. As a result, after much debate, Levi finally decided to inject titanium into Armin so that he would turn into a titan, eat Bertolt and gain the power of the Colossal Titan. And in episode 10, Historia became queen after a coup.

Season 4.

That same great season of 28 episodes and 2 hour and a two big 29 and 30.

At the end of Season 3, the Survey Corps broke out of Eldia for the first time. After this, Eren's acquaintance with his older brother Zeke began in season 4. This season, after the battle between the Attacker and the Hammerman, Falco and Gabi get on the airship and kill our beloved Sasha. (Whine). Levi beat Eren again "for bad behavior" and all that fuss with Zeke and beating up the children who got on board. It’s cruel, however... Afterwards there were negotiations between Elena, Onyankapon and Zeke with Eren. Levi took Zeke under his control, unaware that the Beast-like one gave all the soldiers a special wine, which then accidentally ended up in Falco. Then we have Levi vs Zeke again. Levi, having defeated the enemy, wounded him, and then tied him to a thunder spear, because of which Levi himself later suffered. At this time, there was a fierce battle in Paradise. Hange brought Levi back to her senses. We see Eren. After the battle with the Marleyan titans, Gabi shot him in the neck, decapitating him, but at the last moment Zeke touched him. Once at the coordinate, they argued and in the end it turned out that Eren did not betray Eldia at all, but on the contrary, he was using Zeke all this time. And (as in the toccata and fugue in D minor) everything is surrounded by the roar of a thousand huge titans sleeping within the walls of the 2nd millennium. The Survey Corps went to Eren, wanting to stop him. In the last minutes before takeoff, Hange appointed Armin 15 as reconnaissance commander and died heroically while delaying the titans. (I cried into my pillow all night)

Afterwards we will have a battle with Eren. No matter how loyal Mikasa was to Eren, she beheaded him, and then...kissed his soulless head (...cry...). 80% of the planet's population was killed, and the power of the titans disappeared. In the ending theme, we see how Mikasa sat next to Eren's grave, and then began to come there with her husband (he looked like Jean) and was buried nearby in that same red scarf. Millennia passed and Paradise became a huge modern city, which was then subjected to a nuclear explosion. The last frame reminded me of the story of the ancestor Emir, when a boy, like Emir, entered a cave in a tree.

Summary of the storyline.

As a result, we get what we have been in a “prologue” all this time, leading us to the climax and resolution of season 4. Eren in my mind remains the hero of Paradise and the villain of the world. Between heaven and earth, as they say. But in the last episode there was a lot left unsaid. You can tell this by the last scene with the boy and the dog. Let's put that aside for now.

Mikasa and the Progenitor. What common?

Yes, let's talk about it. We know that the village of the ancestor Emir was captured, and the residents had their tongues cut out (tin). After the pigs escaped, and everyone said that Emir was to blame, they wanted to execute her, but she fled into the forest and turned into the very first titan. The king married Emir, and he had three daughters, after whom the walls were named - Rose, Sina and Maria. After Emir's death, Fritz forced his daughters to eat their mother, thereby robbing them of their freedom. The emir wanted to kill her king out of a desire for revenge, but he was already dead and there was no one to take revenge on.

After Eren's death, Emir was inspired by Mikasa's decision to put the fate of humanity above the love of her life. She found a kindred spirit in Mikasa. their lives reflected each other in every way. And it was after this that Emir saved everyone from the titans, because Mikasa fulfilled her wish. This is what Eren said in his dream conversation with Armin.

Now the reason is clear.

Will there be a fifth season? What could he be like?

Yes, we have come to the main question. As we know, on April 30, 2024, another chapter was released, included in AOT volume 35 and called “bad boy”. This is an 18 page manga about Levi Ackerman.

Since the manga came out about a year after the finale, it can be said that mangaka Hajime Isayama has not completely abandoned (or forgotten) this project. Many people say that there will be no season 5, but the very fact that the manga was continued (even if it was Levi's memories after the war) increases the likelihood of a continuation from 0% to 20-30%. If we take into account the last frame, then there is a hidden meaning that 4 seasons have been leading us to. This is the cyclical nature of history. Even numerologists talk about the cyclical nature of history. No matter what you do, history is bound to repeat itself, and it is inevitable. Yes, Eren had to become such a person in order to free his friends and subsequent generations from the titans, so that Eldia would be called heroes, etc. But in the end, history repeated itself again, and after thousands of years the war began again.

Now let's talk about season 5 itself. If there is a fifth season, it will be quite interesting. And perhaps it will be called “Attack on Titan: Next Generation”, for example, like it was with the anime Naruto and Boruto. The titans there will probably be changed just like their environment, and people will have new weapons against them. Or maybe we will even be able to meet the children of our surviving friends (although, judging by the ending theme, at least a millennium has passed. But this is not a fact, because if our story begins in the 850s, then the chronology does not coincide, because the year 850 in the anime, like the 18th-9th centuries) That’s all, my dear friends. This was my personal opinion about season 5 of AOT. See you later! <3
