How often do you find yourself needing to search the Internet for instructions to do something? For example, setting up a Telegram channel or looking up a recipe for "how to make pasta carbonara"?
I frequently turn to search engines with such queries. I enjoy doing things myself or need to do something I haven't learned yet. So I search for instructions, a step-by-step guide, or a life hack - call it what you will.
And, usually, you hope that when you enter your query, a detailed, clear solution to your problem will pop up at the top of the first page of search results, with illustrations or photos, and most importantly, written by an expert in the field, or at least a master of their craft.
Unfortunately, this doesn't happen... Let's figure out why.
In my personal, humble opinion, there are several reasons:
- Search engines give you answers that are better indexed and contain keywords but cannot evaluate the text's meaning and usefulness.
- Everyone takes advantage of this, including people who have no understanding of "how to do it", simply copying text from another source and placing it on their own site, slightly rephrasing the texts. Why do they do this? To drive traffic to their resource - it's obvious.
- AI (artificial intelligence) can write virtually any instruction upon request, and it will be posted on websites. The downside is that AI will write such an instruction based on what it already has in its database... And there are precisely those algorithms that were better indexed -:)) See point one. And this will be used to increase traffic.
- No one cares that you specifically do not get a quick and clear answer to your query. It's even better - you sit and delve into a confusing instruction, spending time on the site/social media page, while the resource owner's positions in the search engine improve. It's important that you visit and spend enough time on the site, whether you get useful information or not - NO ONE cares.
That's how things are... That's how the modern Internet works. It's no wonder it's called a garbage dump, where to find something useful - you have to sift through piles of trash.
To summarize the above, we can formulate briefly:
Those who write instructions do not aim to teach you anything. They have completely different goals - to get your clicks and time spent on the site, to then monetize the traffic through advertising or sales of goods/services/courses.
Yes, we are being exploited, giving nothing in return but empty texts. Unfortunately, this is how it works... Truly good and useful instructions on "how to do *******" are rare on the Internet, and you have to spend quite a bit of time finding such ones, and they are "worth their weight in gold."

I promise to regularly update the infor
mation, including giving links to resources that will be useful for those learning something or looking for answers to questions.
I especially appeal to those who can share their knowledge and write an instruction (algorithm) on any topic with detailed and brief descriptions, a step-by-step guide understandable to anyone, including master's secrets (the devil is in the details), join us on VK.
