The ideal candidate will join the Impairments Assessment team of the Credit Risk Management Division and should be self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality results in a timely manner. The jobholder should have an analytical profile, be rigorous, well-organized and have a results-oriented mindset striving to deliver on time
Responsibilities:
- Support the impairment assessment team in the calculation and reporting of IFRS9 impairments.
- Carry out sensitivity analysis and provide insight into the drivers of the cost of credit risk.
- Keep abreast of developments in the regulatory environment.
- Actively participate in regulatory and/or internal exercises (e.g. ICAAP, EU Wide Stress tests, RAF).
- Collaborate closely with the Credit Risk Modelling team and assist in IFRS9 modelling (e.g. specifications, data extractions, UATs).
- Steer and coordinate activities related to IFRS9, including training sessions and workshops.
- Assist in the Individual Assessment process.
- Develop, review and implement relevant policies, procedures and manuals.
- Take part in the overall risk management process and reporting, including ICAAP, Pillar II, &Pillar III.
- Provide technical information and analyses to various stakeholders (regulators, internal and external stakeholders, credit risk models validation unit, the management).
- Perform ad hoc analytics to support the needs of the Department.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management or in any other related discipline.
- A Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
- At least three (3) years of banking or consulting experience in the areas of Credit Risk Management and preferably in Risk Modelling, Model validation and/or Impairment Assessment.
- A strong understanding of modelling techniques for credit risk parameters (PD/EAD/LGD).
- Understanding of key regulatory/accounting requirements (e.g. IFRS9).
- Familiarity with Risk Stress testing exercises.
- Ability to understand, develop and execute programming codes including R, VBA and/or SQL.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
