In the life of every living creature, sleep is an integral part of the process of living. For all of us it's really important to have at least 8 hours of healthy sleep to accumulate enough energy in order to stay active for the whole next day. Furthermore, a good sleep help us to "reload" our memory. It means that while we are asleep our brain sorts out our memories and as a result some inconsiderable thoughts and memories get eliminated by our brain in order to help us to focus on what is truly necessary and important for you. But what if I tell you that a nice sleep is not only about sleeping at night? There is a special type of sleep pattern-the segment sleep or the polyphasic sleep. EVERYMAN

Many people say that Everynan sleep pattern is the best variant to try if you only started or thinking about starting practicing segmented sleep patterns. Our sleep starts at night time and during the night we sleep only 1,5-4,5 hours. Seems that we need to drift off to sleep quickly not to loose our time. And then during the day we have 3 short naps for about 20 minutes. In total, sleep will take from 2.5 to 6 hours per day. Sounds crazy. But still polyphasic sleep is more common than thought. Some people don't even realize that they are practicing its most popular form: a few hours of daytime sleep plus a full night's sleep.

UBERMAN

You thought that Everyman is hard? Behold! The Uberman sleep pattern! As you see the name confirms itself. The Uberman is a complete opposite of Everyman. This sleep pattern requires a serious preparation and if you don't have one then you may face some serious health problems such as lack of sleep. Our sleep starts whenever we want. Our objective is to have 20-30 minutes naps every 4 hours. For example, a 20-minute nap at 2, 6, 10, 14, 18 and 22 hours. The Uberman sleep pattern allows us to sleep only three hours per day and then feel restless and full of energy!

To be honest, there are more types of segment sleep patterns, but unfortunately I can't tell you about all of them beacause it's already 10pm and I want to have a nice sleep instead of suffering from insomnia again.

But summing it up I'd like to say that I'd never try one of those sleep patterns just because I feel that I'm not ready enough plus none of those sleep patterns is suitable for me.
