The Day of Nationalities is a holiday that brings peoples closer and unites them.

Our university is famous not only for its status and quality of education, but also for its students, each of whom is unique and has its own nationality. We are all different, each has a different temperament, different traditions, views on the world, but we all have one thing in common — friendship. It is not for nothing that they say that the highest manifestation of friendship is friendship between peoples, when people do not pay attention to skin color, or to differences in culture, or to differences in language.

It is today that is dedicated to the holiday that is celebrated annually at our university — the Day of Nationalities. This wonderful holiday unites many people and nations, and its main component is everyone's favorite food. Each nationality has its own traditional specialty and is proud of it: zizhig galnash, borscht, khychiny, khachapuri in Adjarian and many other delicious delicacies and each nation trembles at the sight of its dishes, it is only necessary to mention them.

There are more British hedgehogs, but only in cities

According to a report by the British Hedgehog Conservation Society (BHPS), published every three to four years, which examines how things are with British hedgehogs, the number of this species in cities has begun to increase. The 2022 report uses data from various wildlife studies to analyze population trends and is the only comprehensive overview of the state of the hedgehog population in the UK (it is compiled with the support of the People's Fund for the Protection of Endangered Species (PTES).

It is planned to expand the Hedgehog Street campaign in urban areas, aimed at attracting even more people and encouraging them to take measures to protect hedgehogs. PTES and BHPS will also continue to fund and support research to better understand the complexities of population decline in rural areas and develop potential solutions to this problem.

Other measures are also being worked out — strengthening the legal protection of hedgehogs in accordance with the Law on Wildlife and Rural Areas, developing improved methods for examining hedgehogs and updating conservation strategies as new research results are published.
