Hello friends, how was January for you? It wasn’t easy for me, but that’s not a reason to be discouraged, is it? It's time to recharge yourself with the richness of color and start crocheting nice things. For example, cute spiral hearts, a sunny mug coaster for the office, and even a couple of bright mini rugs for a dollhouse ordered by my niece. Now I’ll tell you about everything in more detail and share useful links. What if you also want to lift your mood with color therapy?

I had a skein of Papatya Batik rainbow acrylic yarn in my stash and for a long time I couldn’t find a place for it. First, I made a nice circle motif that became a coaster for my office mug (you'll find a link below in this post).
Then my cousin Ksenya and her daughter Olya came to visit me. Olya saw the skein and immediately asked to create someting for her — a mini rug for her dollhouse. I just started a sample to test Papatya Batik and was approximately the needed size, just a bit wider than necessary. I decided to keep it and make one more piece in size requested by Olya. So two rugs will go soon to their new owner, I just need to secure the ends on one of them.
And the other day I came across an interesting simple crochet motif — a spiral heart, I even wrote a separate note (see the link below in this post). I think colour sections of Papatya Batik yarn lay on it very well. I made seven hearts quickly, in less than an hour and a half. The size of the finished motif is 5.5 cm by 5.5 cm (hook 3.5 mm). Maybe I’ll use it as an applique or a mini-gift for someone in Valentine's day. Or maybe I’ll attach some of the hearts to Olya’s rugs as a decoration, I think they should look good on it.

I'll share two more pictures of my spiral hearts. I love to do color therapy, especially in Winter, when the sun doesn’t show up and it's pretty dull outside and you really want to be warm and positive.
