Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subsidiaries to collect performance data, analyze their strategic and business plans, and evaluate performance against predetermined targets to identify any gaps
- Prepare detailed performance reports, including analysis and gap identification
- Perform external analysis, such as industry and macroeconomic trend assessments, within the managed sector to stay informed about the latest market and industry developments
- Conduct internal analyses to evaluate subsidiaries' capabilities and performance / positioning in comparison to external factors
- Perform gap analysis based on internal assessments and prepare corresponding reports
- Collect board packs from subsidiaries, review them, and report key findings to the Head of Portfolio
- Analyze company performance sensitivities and screen potential acquisition opportunities within subsectors
- Support the Head of Portfolio in valuation analysis, including financial projections, benchmarking, assessing disposition opportunities, and participating in transaction due diligence
Requirements:
- This position is part of an Emiratisation program, and applications are open exclusively to UAE nationals
- 3 to 5 years of experience in investment management, with expertise in financial analysis and modeling
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 certification is desirable
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills, along with excellent writing and communication abilities
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the capability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is preferred
