Responsibilities

New Business Development:

  • Collaborate with shipping, marine services, and offshore divisions to enhance integrated logistics services for tankers and dry bulk.
  • Explore industry trends and opportunities, focusing on growth within existing businesses, expansion into new areas, and partnerships within the group of companies.

Opportunity Analysis and Evaluation:

  • Conduct in-depth opportunity analysis for fit with the growth plans, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Lead rigorous analyses, including valuation and business case modeling, for investment, partnership, and acquisition decisions.

Bid Management:

  • Coordinate with teams to compile required information for bid preparation in compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Provide support in developing technical and financial bids for new opportunities in the tanker and dry bulk sectors.

Business Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development of the company's vision and long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with the tanker and dry bulk logistics business.
  • Implement the Division's Business Strategy, supporting overall business goals related to tankers and dry bulk.

Budgets and Operational Plans:

  • Lead the development of annual operational plans and budgets for tanker and dry bulk activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor Division KPIs and ensure the achievement of performance objectives related to tanker and dry bulk logistics.

Organizational Development:

  • Recommend organizational structures for efficient utilization of human capital, focusing on sustainability and Emiratization targets in the tanker and dry bulk sectors.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster an innovative culture, motivating employees for continuous improvement in tanker and dry bulk operations.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Proven experience in new business development within the shipping, marine services, or offshore industries.
  • Extensive background in mergers and acquisitions, demonstrating successful deal closures and integration.

Industry Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of tankers and dry bulk logistics, including market trends, regulatory considerations, and operational challenges.
  • Familiarity with shipping industry dynamics, including vessel sales and purchase (S&P) transactions.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to and execute the long-term vision and strategy for integrated logistics services, specifically in the tanker and dry bulk sectors.

Opportunity Analysis:

  • Track record of conducting thorough opportunity analyses, including financial modeling and valuation, with a focus on growth plans and compliance.

Bid Management:

  • Expertise in coordinating bid preparation for tanker and dry bulk opportunities, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and successful proposal development.

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills, providing visible and effective guidance to teams involved in tanker and dry bulk business plans.

Financial Acumen:

  • Proficient in financial analysis, including the development and evaluation of business cases related to tanker and dry bulk investments.
