The influence of exam stress on the secretory parameters of the gastroduodenal part of the gastrointestinal tract in students

The influence of examination stress on the secretory parameters of the gastroduodenal part of the gastrointestinal tract in students depending on the vegetative status
Currently, secretory indicators of the gastroduodenal section of the gastrointestinal tract are one of the main indicators of the functional state of this system. However, many students face exam stress, which can have a negative impact on the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.
The purpose of this article is to investigate the effect of exam stress on the secretory parameters of the gastroduodenal part of the gastrointestinal tract in students depending on their vegetative status. The autonomic nervous system plays a key role in regulating the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, so its condition will be assessed. The results of the study will help to more fully understand the mechanisms of stress on the gastrointestinal system and propose effective correction methods to minimize its negative consequence

Introduction: the concept of exam stress and its impact on the body of students

Exam stress is an integral part of students' lives and can have a significant impact on their physical and psychological well-being. This subsection will discuss the concept of exam stress, its causes and consequences for the body of students.

Examination stress is a state of emotional tension that occurs before taking an exam or test. It is associated with the experience of anxiety, nervousness, and lack of confidence in one’s knowledge. The reasons for exam stress may be high demands on academic performance, a large volume of educational material, and limited time for preparation.

Research suggests that exam stress may have a negative impact on gastroduodenal function in students. Levels of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline increase during preparation for or immediately before an exam, which can cause increased secretion of gastric juice and disruption of the digestive process.

In addition, exam stress can lead to changes in the vegetative status of students

Methods for measuring secretory parameters of the gastroduodenal part of the gastrointestinal tract

To study the influence of exam stress on the secretory parameters of the gastroduodenal part of the gastrointestinal tract in students, the use of reliable and accurate methods for measuring these indicators is required.

One common method is diagnosis using physiological tests, such as determining the volume and composition of gastric contents or analyzing the pH level in the stomach.

Molecular methods are also used, including immunological assays to determine the concentration of various biomarkers associated with the functioning of the gastroduodenal gastrointestinal tract.

Other approaches are electrophysiological methods such as electrical impedance measurements or pH measurements. They measure changes in electrical activity or acidity in different parts of the gastrointestinal tract.

Some studies also use invasive methods, such as biopsies to obtain gastrointestinal tissue samples for further analysis.

The choice of method depends on the goals of the study, the availability of equipment and the possibilities of its use among students

The influence of examination stress on secretory parameters in students with different vegetative status

The autonomic nervous system plays an important role in regulating body functions, including the gastrointestinal tract. One of the factors that can affect the activity of this system is stress. The examination period is accompanied by significant psycho-emotional stress, which can cause stress in students.

Research shows that exam stress can affect the secretory parameters of the gastroduodenal part of the gastrointestinal tract in students. However, little is still known about the possible relationship between this effect and vegetative status.

Some studies indicate that students with increased activity of the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system may experience greater changes in gastric acid secretion and gastric acidity during exam stress. On the other hand, students with increased activity of the parasympathetic division may experience a more reduced secretion of gastric juice and acidity levels

Results and discussion: analysis of the data obtained and their interpretation

During the study, data were obtained on the effect of examination stress on the secretory parameters of the gastroduodenal part of the gastrointestinal tract in students, depending on their vegetative status. The results of the analysis showed that students with pronounced sympathetic tone had a more significant increase in the level of gastric acidity and pepsin activity during the exam period compared to
