Wheat futures rose, while corn fell. The most-active soybean contract on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) Sv1 was down 0.2% at $13.44-1/2 a bushel, as of 0607 GMT, after rising 1.3% on Tuesday. "Brazil is the focal point at the moment," said Ole Houe at agriculture brokerage IKON Commodities in Sydney. Uncertainty over the crop size would likely cause price volatility in the short term, Houe said, adding that Brazil's soybean harvest would still be large. "Even if we lost 20 million tons, we'd still have more than the 5-year average," he said. "We can lose a lot of crop before it becomes really problematic globally."
