Cinematography is an amazing art form. The point of this art is to realise the text into action - what was in the past, is in the present, and may be in the future. I've seen a lot of good films in my life, but one of my all-time favourite films is "Men in Black".
"Men in Black" is a 1997 American science-fiction action comedy film based on the comic series by Marvel Comics, which was itself based on the conspiracy theory.
This film was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, written by Ed Solomon and produced by Laurie MacDonald and Walter F. Parkes. The main events in the film take place in New York. Buildings, structures and landscapes: Guggenheim Museum, Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel ventilation tower, New York World's Fair, Unisphere, Shea Stadium Arena in Flushing Meadows Park and other locations.
The location of all the events of the film, as well as the filming, is New York City. Events may be taking place in the distant future. It's about a government organisation called Men in Black, which deals with alien affairs.
As in the original comics, the film's main characters are Agent J (full name is James Darrell Edwards III), portrayed by Will Smith, and Agent K (full name is Kevin Brown), portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones.
By the way, at first, the role of Agent J was supposed to be played by actor Chris O'Donnell. But he rejected the role, as he thought it would be another rookie role, which he already played in the failed films "Batman Forever" and "Batman & Robin".
Well, the film itself was a success. It won the Academy Award (or Oscar) for Best Makeup, the MTV Movie Awards for Best Fight and Best Song in a Film, the Satellite Award for Best Film, as well as the ASCAP Award for Best Box Office Performance.
And I think these awards are well deserved. I love this film for great acting, cool special effects, good filming and an interesting story. And also for the dynamic jokes.
This is how I want to come and say thank you to those who worked on this film. Definitely 10/10.
That's all I want to tell you about. Thank you for listening to me :)
