The most popular food in my country are pizza and fast food, if you pass through any town or city and need to have a meal quick and cheap. We have a lot of fast food cafes, such as Vkusno I Tochka, KFC, Dodo Pizza.
But if you want to taste something truly Russian, you have to spend more time and visit some unique restaurants in my town. The most authentic place in our town is the Coffee Time on Kropotkinskaya. There you can have a delicious breakfast with oatmeal, rice and millet porridge. They also serve syrniki with honey, jam and sour cream, tradition omlet and pancakes. In summer you can eat the same things while sitting on the summer veranda overlooking the Dmitrov Kremlin.
For lunch you can go to the Kucher cafe, which is located on the edge of the town, there is a business lunch there, and you can also order a la carte and feast on real Russian borscht, try herring under a fur coat and aspic.
In the evening you can also go to Kropotkinskaya Street to the Cherry Orchard cafe. They serve delicious desserts from European cuisine.
In order to try a real Russian dessert, you should go to the Dmitrovsky Museum in December and visit the Dmitrovsky gingerbread festival. There is an exhibition of various Gingerbreads and soaked apples from Dmitrov needlewomen and confectionery shops.
