Hii!! Today I want to talk about the lightning in India, that killed about 100 people! And it's crazy!
The lightning started when the annual monsoon season begins in India.
83 people were killed by lightning strikes in the state of Bihar, and another 24 people died in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Head of the country said, that more than 10 people were hurt by this lightnings.
Most of people from this amount were in the fields, and lightnings love, when a lot of people being in one place! That's why the amount of people who died is big.
Also, animals were in the fields too! Some of them died by the lightning strikes too :(
And a lot of houses and buildings were destoyed by these strikes too.
Lightning strikes in the monsoon season - it's a regular thing in India. But this year (2020) the amount of deaths was the biggest! (Because in 2019 there were 39 deaths from lightning. But now the amount is bigger in 3 times!)
Only information we have, is that the Heads of country payed about 400000 rupees (it's about 5300$ now) to the closest people of the died people.
I recommend you to sit at home, when youh ear the lightning's sound. Because your life is more expensive than walk outside with death!
In the lightning time you need to look through your phone about news of the lightning.
Also, there are a lot of apps, that can warn you before the start of the lightning! I think it's very useful, to know what is going to happen earlier, than it happens.
(it's not about the situation i described, but an example of another situation in India.)
