When the German duo of Milli Vanilli, created and led by producer Frank Farian, were exposed to the whole world that they were fake who simply lip-synced to the backing track, they were met with public humiliation, their Grammy awards were crushed on the streets, their CDs and their LPs were broken for the cameras.
Although, they were not the first case of fraudulent activity, they were simply unlucky. Why "unlucky"? Because even though what Milli Vanilli did, or let's say Farian did, was dishonest, he was faced with tons of backlash and criticism. Most importantly, they were not the first ones nor the last ones to have carried such fraud. They were unlucky to be the only ones humiliated, while there has always been even bigger scams than Milli Vanilli.
“What Milli Vanilli did was a crime. You can't treat teenagers' dreams like that. I was a Beatles fan when I was a teenager, and if anyone had told me that Paul McCartney didn't sing himself, my world would have just collapsed."
Which you can totally say the same for the fraudster in discussion, Dieter Bohlen (Real Name: Dietrich Krupp von Bohlen).
Among the reasons why he never wanted to go to the USA, while the success of Modern Talking was skyrocketing all across the world, except for the English speaking countries, (The only hit song in the English countries was Brother Louie that reached 4th place in UK) was because such fraud and deception that he has been running since birth would easily be exposed in those countries, as English is the most spoken language in the world. And we will explain why his fraud is perhaps the biggest in the history of music. Unfortunately, his influence is so large that you can even compare that to that of a corrupt politician.
For that matter, he has successfully deceived the entire nation of Germany and world that the reason why "his" band never was successful in these countries (UK, USA, AUS) was because, his band member, colleague, and first and only love, Thomas Anders (real birth name Bernhardt von Schönburg-Glauchau) did not want to go there due to his laziness and because of his wife...
Absolutely no mention of the rich witch Eleanor Isabelle Balling, the infamous culprit of the break-up. You can clearly hear it at minute 19:22 under this video.
This topic we will discuss in the next articles. Because there is plenty of content and lies to expose.
This report will be divided into several articles. It is an investigation which our team has carried out for a year to expose the unspoken truths about the members of this German duo, where Bohlen was infamously part of.
The real roots of Dieter Bohlen
It is as true as when you see a crystal so clear, that his real name is Dietrich Krupp von Bohlen. But why would he so successfully hide his identity, his family, his real roots and his real parents? It would break him if the world knew that he is not the son of Edith and Hans, but the son of the most famous German prostitute, Rosemarie Rosalia Nitribitt.
The resemblance of mom and son is uncanny. From nose, jaw, facial expression, and dimples. More so with his real father's wrinkles and chin, Harald Krupp von Bohlen, whom Rosalie had an affair with in 1957.
In truth, Rosemarie was murdered in October 1957. So how can it be? Well, for instance, her death is still a mystery in Germany even decades later. The police which carried out the investigation destroyed evidence once arriving at the crime scene, which completely halted the attempts to find the culprit. There have been several suspects in her murder, involving the son of prominent German industrialist Gustav Krupp von Bohlen, Harald. In several investigative reports, he was deemed the main culprit, several pieces of evidence indicated so. However, none of the suspects were further questioned or held accountable.
In Germany, people believed that Rosemarie was such a skilled courtesan that she could manipulate everyone to get what she wanted (ring a bell?), she knew a lot of secrets from the rich millionaires she would "hang out" with, blackmail them with false pregnancies, and as a result, everyone wanted to get her killed. She also had close friendships with Harald Quandt, the son of Magda Goebbels (Rietschel) and German industrialist Günther Quandt, Gunther Sachs, the German playboy and his brother Ernst Wilhelm. The rich Quandt dynasty is famous for being the founders of German car manufacturer BMW.
According to the findings, Harald von Bohlen was so in love with Nitribitt that he would send her gifts, letters, poems, and would telephone her from his mother's phone, Bertha Krupp. But when the murder took place, he was questioned as a main culprit. He would later on be released for lack of evidences. Even though, there were finger traces on the wine bottle at the house of Nitribitt, moments before she was murdered. So, what is the explanation?
Little is known about the family of "Dieter". We know nothing more except that the father was insanely strict and abusive to him, and on the other hand he had a very supportive grandmother. Father owned a construction company and Dietrich's "brother" Uwe also worked there. Oh, and that Dieter was allegedly member of the German communist party in the East.

The fake birth date of Bohlen
You see that in his Wikipedia page, well, and not only, it is written everywhere that his birth year is 1954. In the meantime, we have found multiple pieces of evidence that show how that is completely false. And definitely not a mistake.
When the band "Modern Talking" started to become successful with their (first) number one and most famous hit "You're my heart, you're my soul", people wanted to learn more about them. At the beginning, information on the German teen magazine "BRAVO" would be told and circulate from band members themselves, from their personal life, birthdays, occupations etc. We have found several pieces of evidence, where Dieter's real birth year is written 1958, and not 1954. But it was quickly changed later. One might think it's mistake. Wait until you see this:
As you can see, Bohlen writes himself here on this "Star Portrait" for BRAVO, that his birthday is 7th February 1958. If the idea was to make Bohlen "younger" due to age difference with Thomas, they would've just decreased the age more, not increase it to 4 more years.
It is not a mistake anymore.
And finally, if we piece the evidences altogether, combining genetic evidence with personal information, it can only lead to one conclusion:
Von Bohlen discovered that Nitribitt was carrying his child, and both had to stage a murder in October 1957 that would allow her to escape and carry her pregnancy somewhere else, as it would be dishonorable if the great dynasty of Krupps discovered that one of their descendants had a child with a prostitute. Of course, the child's name would be Dieter Günther Bohlen. And that is why he lies about the birthdate, why else would he lie?
Because he wanted to erase that past before it got discovered. As we can see, it was successful attempt.
Of course, we are not done with the evidences yet. When he and Thomas went to the UK to sing "Brother Louie" at "Top of the Pops", there is one small detail that stands out in this English magazine piece. It is written twice "Dieter R. Bohlen"...
Who is "R"? His middle name is "Gunther" (like Gunter Sachs or Günther Quandt), and there is nobody in the (adoptive) family with R initial, unless...
It looks like such a secret slipped from Dieter's mouth accidentally. Or perhaps, he thought it was so insignificant that nobody would ever find out. Ironically, his first book is named "Nichts als die Wahrheit" (2002)
The notorious Bohlen fraud
But enough about his personal life. We will now talk about how he has also managed to deceive the public that he was such an important person worth of idolizing. One might think that he was so protected because not only he is the heir of the most famous and important German industrialist family, but also because that such person has to be defended to such an extent in order to hide his true identity. Some things even slipped away, as we can see. But, it did not matter. As long as the Bertelsmanns, BILD, RTL and the rest protect his image, he will remain untouchable.
In the beginning of 1986, when Modern Talking was sowing success even with "Brother Louie" the first cracks of Bohlen's scheme would come from Dietrich's old English colleague, Geff Harrison, as he comes out to reveal for the public that Bohlen had underpaid him, although he wrote the lyrics for 16 songs at Modern Talking and for CC Catch.
"Not only did I write the lyrics for 'You Can Win If You Want', 'Cheri, Cheri Lady', and most Modern Talking songs, but I also wrote the lyrics for C.C. Catch songs like 'I Can Lose My Heart Tonight'. I worked with Dieter Bohlen for more than 5 years, corrected and finalized his texts. It is clear that I not only changed the grammar, but also added my own ideas in the lines. Dieter Bohlen appropriated all the copyrights to himself, and only paid me a tip."
Dieter's response was: "I learnt English at school, but of course it was not so good. So I had to write my texts first in German and then pass them along to the others and we corrected them together. Now this guy wants money from me!"
It is also worth mentioning that famous lyricist Mary Applegate also wrote the lyrics of "Do you wanna", which according to Dieter, it had to be very erotic.
It is not uncommon that producers find people to do the job. It is very normal. What is not fair, however, is the fact that Bohlen collected the rest of the money over the heads of those who contributed as much, if not more, to the success.
In the meantime, Jeff and Dieter both went to court, and Bohlen lost. Well, people did not have time to have doubts, as they were too focused on the infamous toxic couple, what jewelry Nora wore, and what shampoo Thomas used for the hair.
But the scheme that is led by Bohlen, the record company and his lawyer (puppet), Goetz Kiso, did not stop there. For 13 years, it became a little quiet, with not so many controversies, at least not involving his career but rather his unstable love life and the short marriage in Las Vegas. Until around 2000-2001, more dirty secrets start to be revealed. It becomes one of the most controversial topics in Germany, Dieter did not sing the head falsettos! How come!
In 1998, when Modern Talking were reunited, the album "Back for Good" was released with the greatest hits and four new songs. The quartet of the backing-vocalists, consisting of Rolf Kohler, Michael Scholz, Detlef Wiedeke and Birger Corlais, were not notified about the comeback, and consequently, they were not paid for their contribution. The first three decided to sue Hansa, which they won, and not Dieter, because, according to them, they signed an agreement with him where they are not supposed to reveal anything, or they will be sued. Unlike Corlais, who wanted to take on Dietrich and his army by himself. Unfortunately, he lost the trial and was called a "parasite" by Bohlen. How ironical.
A further investigation carried out by German TV station Sat1 in 2003, found that Dieter not only underpaid the supportive vocalists, but also underpaid the sound-managers, the instrumentalists, musicians, and collected the rest of the money for himself.
In Germany, there exists two agencies that protect the rights of the authors, GEMA and GVL. To be able to earn what you are owed, you have to register yourself with a specific occupation in the entertainment industry. Something that protects your rights while making a contribution for a band, or even as a songwriter. In these agencies, Bohlen registered himself in everything he did not do at Modern Talking: composer, instrumentalist, and singer.
Detlef Wiedeke would simply say that this is the "Bohlen-business". A business where he would be forcing his colleagues into signing contracts where they would agree that they'd receive only a small percentage of the earnings. Simply put, you can also describe it as a form of blackmail. And it doesn't have to include only the earnings, but also being silenced about other things. Such behavior from him dates back from his teenage years. One of his old school friends confessed that Dieter once wanted to buy from him the answers from an exam, which he would later not pay and it would lead into brawl. Of course, some things never change. Indeed, from old school friends it is said that Dieter would always get beaten at school.
Peter Weihe, the instrumentalist and real guitarist of the band, also had to suffer from the scheme of the Nazi fraudster. Another significant member of the team was also Leroy Lee Davis, who was sound engineer together with Ralf Stemmann. For Dietrich, the money was too important. He did not even pay Thomas what he was owed after the group broke up in 1987, but he had the audacity to accuse his colleague (a.k.a. his love) that he was an unscrupulous, sewage rat, and a thief, who stole his money.
The Bohlen spell has not found its antidote yet. Because even after decades of being exposed as a fraud, people still continue to idolize him, and justify him in any way possible. If he did not write the English lyrics, at least he sang, played guitar and wrote the music. If he did not sing, then he played guitar and wrote the music. If he did not play guitar either, at least he wrote and produced the music. What else will soon have to be exposed for people to realize that Bohlen is a trickster who has done more bad than good?

"Well it was easy, at Modern Talking I sang the high note passages, now at Blue System we decided to do something else"
Bohlen goes back and forth and retracts his statements every single time, and gives something new every single time, one time he says he was never a great singer and did not sing, the other time he says he was part of the choir who sang the head falsettos. The other, other time he said that he has to record the falsettos 120 times.
Does Bohlen or the naive audience realize that singing in falsetto is not just screeching like a cat? But it requires vocal power, controlled breathing. Every time Dieter attempts to sing in falsetto, to show that he can sing, you can visibly hear he is out of breath since he does not finish the line.
Spoiler alert: He CAN'T sing.

As part of the investigation, I also had to observe people's reactions to see for myself what they really think.
In Germany, for those who like him, and outside the country, Bohlen is labeled as somebody very honest. You either love him or hate him. But those who love him, would absolutely justify anything he says and does. Everyone who has questioned his personality and deceptive career is deemed "jealous", and that person is labeled as attention seeker.
Regardless of who might be the people that come out to expose or say something against Bohlen, it will not hurt his image. Because he will simply come back stronger. When he was exposed for not singing and for stealing money from the staff at Modern Talking, two years later he would be invited as main juror and director at the German version of "American Idol", with broadcasting at RTL, the channel that elevates his image and helps pumping propaganda, apart from BILD.
This is where his image popularity completely sky-rocketed. Nothing will ever ruin his image. This is where Bohlen's image became "real and honest", where you should not question him even if he humiliates someone in public. A few years later he would come up with a cartoon animation "Dieter Der Film", where he would absolutely depict a funny yet wrong and deceiving storytelling of Modern Talking. He knew when to release such a cartoon, when the people's brains were already brainwashed enough that it became nearly impossible for them to reason rationally.
Never has been a person so justified and excused for being a fraud, in history. It is incredible what propaganda can do. And it is truly fascinating how the "Bohlen-spell" stands true. Because everyone who keeps believing and counting on him has completely lost sense of reality. One day I was watching a documentary about Bohlen on RTL from 2004, and when I tell you I was cringing so much that I could not believe all the nonsense I was hearing and watching. All of the protagonists of the documentary were his friends who took care of elevating his fraudulent image.
One of the funniest fragments was however from the BMG official Andre Sellehnheit, who said: "Bohlen is known for his flexibility in composition". Yeah, about that… Nope. But when people are so easily fooled, others can say anything. One day even Dieter turns into a pathological liar.
The "art" of censoring
When Modern Talking went to France to sing YMHYMS in 1985, Bohlen did not know that they were supposed to sing live in this stage. This performance, where Dietrich sings so horrible, in the French TV station, was censored in Germany. Which shows it loud and clear, how desperately the German media and the record company wanted not to expose Bohlen as a fraud. They also have played a major role in elevating Bohlen's career and image of a "God", because it has always been their task.
Here is the video where Dieter sings horribly and absolutely in not a harmonious way with his band-colleague Thomas. I cannot blame him for laughing, and, I can't blame Bohlen for wanting to censor this performance and reperform again, but with playback, of course, only if I were as dishonest as him.
A victim of censorship, was recently also a Spanish YouTube channel, (La Cueva de Nagual) which exposed his fraudulent career in four episodes. The first video gained over 600,000 views, it was more or less about Bohlen's horrible singing and the infamous fraud, the second part of the series which was posted on February 2023 contained further information about the real musicians behind 'MT', the third episode contained music which Bohlen "had stolen" from other artists, mostly at Blue System, and faced no repercussions when it comes to copyright. 5 days after the fourth episode was published, the whole series was removed from YouTube.
At first, when I talked to the admins of the channel, they said the lawyers forced censorship due to audio copyright of a demo in the fourth episode and requested only to mute the audios. Three hours later, the videos were all removed from YouTube. It was an obvious attack and threat to the video publishers. The attack was carried out by Bohlen's lawyers, (Goetz) Kiso & Liefert.
Considering that a lot of channels had published a lot of videos describing the famous backstory behind "Modern Talking", which videos of course included demos, songs, photos, etc. it makes no sense why would such an attack be carried out at this Spanish YouTube channel with the justification that they were using "copyrighted" audios. Only German-stationed channels on YT could get strikes. So, that was not really the reason.
The fourth episode, which was published in March 2023 and was later deleted due to "audio copyright", contained no music. So the question is, why did it happen?
This episode notably contained an interview from 1994 between 'Der Spiegel' and Bohlen's band colleague Thomas, where the latter had revealed how his musical projects and albums were all rejected from the music publishers due to his name, which subsequently resulted into the failure of his solo career. The Spanish channel were convinced in the video saying that this rejection was carried out by Bohlen, although, Thomas does not really reveal any names about who could've done such a thing. So maybe it was an assumption made with conviction.
But the fact alone that this fourth episode containing this specific interview together with the other episodes were completely removed from YouTube, absolutely confirms the assumption from the Spaniards, that Bohlen really destroyed Anders' career and he did not want to let the public know. After a copyright strike, the YouTube algorithm works as such that even after further reuploads, you won't be able to have your videos suggested to the audience. It was a very well coordinated attack from Bohlen, considering the first episode had 600k views. He anticipated the virality of this content.
But of course, he works very honestly and is very hard-working. Just like Brutus was very honest to Julius Caesar.
