Nowadays, knowledge of languages is very important, since we live in a multicultural world. Language is what connects people, nations and states. Currently, English is present everywhere. By the way, this language is the most widely spoken in the world after Chinese. According to the latest data, almost 2 billion people speak English out of the total world population of 8 billion people. It is the language of business, commerce, politics, sports, fashion, culture and glamour.
I would like to share my experience of learning English. I have been studying the language for quite a long time and I can point out the reasons why it would be worth devoting so much time to this.
- communicating with people from other countries
- expanding your horizons
- achieving success in your future career
- feeling free while traveling
I learned my first English words and a couple of phrases at the age of six from colorful children's books. After that, there was no continuation, everything was forgotten. Only later, at a conscious age, I returned to learning the language, but this time the choice fell on French. Now I regret that I wasted my time, although according to the teacher I was doing well, but it would be better to start with English. What's done is done)
Then my actions were wiser and I started studying at the Language Study Center, where teachers are professionals in their field. Here I realized that learning a language at a sufficiently high level will not work without good coach and dedication. This is a daily struggle with oneself, behind which there is motivation. Motivation revives the desire to move forward on this difficult path, even after upsetting failures.
In short, to speed up the process of learning a language, you need a great desire and constant practice. One clings to the other. If you wish, you can surround yourself with English, for example, watching movies in English, listening to music, communicating with native speakers on social networks and much more. And the most important thing to say is not to be afraid to make mistakes, because making mistakes is part of the language learning process, and anyone who wants to learn a new language can make them. Obviously, I really want to keep getting better, develop my skills and not stop learning the language, because this is to some extent similar to a habit that you probably want to keep for the rest of your life and introduce into other areas of your life.
Anyway, I wish you all success and new victories!
