Mails to prisoner in America

Marc Holland started visiting me every week in Elizabeth prison, and he introduced himself to me as a German Social Affairs researcher working in the USA, and I told him that I came to the United States seeking asylum, and my name is Hazem, but the prison administration changed my name Hazem with the name of my grandfather Hassan, and they called me Hassan, as it is printed on the plastic bracelet that surrounds my wrist, and the officers also called me Hassan, and I thought that switching to the name Hassan would be a personal protection for me, because of fear that my real name is Hazem will causes me problems especially in the presence of Arabs and Egyptians in the prison dorm, so my name became Hassan, except with my visitors, so I told them my real name is Hazem Rewiha.

I talked with Marc about Egypt and that the revolution of January 25, 2011 broke out while I was in prison in America. And that I do not know any news about Egypt except a little information by TV or by phone call to my wife in Egypt, and I am worried and afraid for my family, my daughters and my wife in Egypt،

Marc told me that he would send me some Egyptian newspapers, and some news items taken from Egyptian newspapers, which is computer-printed papers to my mailing address in Elizabeth prison.

He did and sent me a lot of news printed on the computer every week, I received from Mark many mails full of news about Egypt and the Arab countries, and most of these news aroused my tension, anxiety and fear.

During one of Mark's visits to me in prison, he told me that he had sent me the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram, but the prison administration forbids the entry of these newspapers to the prisoners, and he told me that the prison administration will keep this newspaper in my suitcase, which is being held by them, Thus, sending a banned newspaper to the prisoners gave the US authorities an excuse to open my suitcase without legal permission.

When I returned to Egypt, I found this Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram Issue of March 26, 2011 inside my suitcase.
