Эдвард Макнайт Кауффер

ВВЕДЕНИЕ: Решив заниматься изучением различных культовых дизайнеров, мною было отмечено, что нет почти не одного нормального русскоязычного сайта, на котором бы было размещено достаточно приморов работ дизайнера. Ведь когда изучаешь такого рода материал, важно знать не только биографию и принципы художника, но и видеть, что он создавал, чтобы расширять свой визуальный кругозор для создания своих работ. Именно поэтому в данной статье я хочу кратко сказать о дизайнере и разместить побольше его работ, чтобы когда люди вбивали его имя в поисковике на русском, могли хотя бы что-то увидеть.

БИОГРАФИЯ: Кауффер был пионером коммерческого искусства — профессии, известной сегодня как графический дизайн.

На пике своей карьеры в 1920-х и 1930-х годах американец Кауффер был одним из самых влиятельных художников Англии. В 1940 году он переехал в Нью-Йорк, присоединившись к наплыву европейских дизайнеров, которые привнесли динамизм в американскую рекламу. Его замечательные работы включают в себя привлекательные плакаты для лондонского метрополитена, иллюстрации к знаменитым литературным произведениям и культовую графику для крупных корпораций, таких как Shell-Mex и American Airlines.

Сотрудничая со своими коллегами в области искусства, литературы, перформанса и кино, Кауффер расширил масштабы и влияние своей практики.
