Gnat

He was laying on the bed almost asleep. Metal springs from an old metal bed crashed into his back passing through a thin mattress. A lamp hanging down from the center of ceiling was the only source of faint light. A gnat circled around the lamp bulb tirelessly and constantly slammed into it. "Is the bulb hot? Pure tiny creature..." said he to the flying insect. "You should be pretty dumb to understand that there is no enter for you into that light bulb, actually. If there was one, you would be dead by now. It would kill you immediately. Like for real... So be thankful that there is no way to make true your aim, stupid fly. However, maybe it would be better for you to reach your goal and stop your meaningless life that way. I mean...Anyway you will die tonight or tomorrow, so it is better to stop your struggle right now. Let me help you..." He got up and headed towards the bulb. It took him forever to catch it. But he finally did it. He hold it with his fingers and watched at it atte

Let me help you..."

He got up and headed towards the bulb. It took him forever to catch it. But he finally did it. He hold it with his fingers and watched at it attentively. "One move and it will be dead" - it was the thought was circling around his mind. "There is no entry for violence" said he quietly.

Then he just opened the window and let it out his hands. Looking out of the window he listened to the outer world.

" If only there was a wire tied to the Sun, I would pull it right now" thought he for a moment. He wanted badly for the morning. Boredom of the sleepless night was killing him inside. The passing day seemed as the spoiled milk that needed to be thrown away. That day was playing the annoying song and he wanted to switch it...

" There is no entry for violence"...Is that true? He laughed loud at his own thought. He knew the answer. Life taught him that answer already.

At that moment the light went out. There was only him left alone inside the darkness. He knew that soon the Sun will rise. He knew it. But there was a long night before the sunrise. So he had to wait patiently. He had no idea how long he should wait for it, because it was impossible to distinguish the numbers of clock wall.

"Okey..." whispered he angrily. "Okey..." responded the darkness back to him.
