Lena had been learning English for the past five years. She'd grown up in a small village in a Spanish-speaking country and had to work hard to learn the language. As a young girl, she found it difficult to understand the strange words and complicated grammar rules, but she persevered, eventually mastering the language.
When she was accepted into a prestigious university in the United States, Lena was both excited and scared. She had to compete with students who had been speaking English their whole lives, and she was worried she wouldn't be able to keep up.
On the first day of class, Lena was nervous, but as soon as she opened her mouth, she realized that she could speak English fluently. She was surprised and proud of herself for how far she had come.
Since then, Lena has enjoyed speaking English. She's become an expert in the language, giving lectures and writing papers in English. She's even taken on an internship at a local radio station, where she hosts a weekly show in English.
Lena loves the thrill of speaking in a language she once found so difficult. She's proud of herself for learning English, and she feels that it has opened up a world of new opportunities for her.
