The sun shone brightly in the sky, which was a rare sight in the small, rainy town of Breton. The children of the town were ecstatic - on days like this, they could be found playing outside.
One day, a group of friends decided to play a game of tag. One of them, John, quickly tagged his friend Mary and shouted, 'What goes up but never comes down?!' Mary answered, 'Your age!' Everyone laughed at her response, but John was determined to find the correct answer.
He went to his grandfather, who often had the answers to all things. His grandfather smiled as John asked him the same question. He said, 'The answer to your question is time. Time goes up but never comes down. It's something we can never get back. That's why it's important to make the most of it and not waste it.'
John's friends were amazed at the answer and looked at John in admiration. They thanked his grandfather for the wise advice and decided to use their time wisely from now on.
John and his friends knew that time was something that could never be taken away from them, and they would always remember the wise words of his grandfather. What goes up but never comes down - time, something we should treasure and use wisely.
