Как правильно описывать график для ЕГЭ по Английскому?

Раздел «Письмо» на ЕГЭ по Английскому не зря считается самой сложной частью для многих, поскольку требует тщательного соблюдения всех тонкостей и аспектов для успешного выполнения заданий.
Несмотря на то, что задания на первый взгляд допускают свободную форму для их исполнения, перечень критериев и кодификатор сводят выполнение каждого из них к определённой структуре или же «формуле успешного выполнения».
В этой статье мы разберём задание по описанию графика на существующем примере и посмотрим, какие шаги нужно выполнить, чтобы затащить эту часть на максимальный балл.
Типовое задание из кодификатора:
Imagine that you are doing a project on what modern teenagers in Zetland dream about. You have found some data on the subject — the results оf the opinion polls (see the pie chart below). Comment on the data in the diagram and give your opinion on the subject of the project.
Write 200-250 words
- make an opening statement on the subject of the project
- select and report 2−3 facts
- make 1−2 comparisons where relevant and give your comments
- outline a problem that can arise with realizing one's dreams and suggest a way of solving it
- conclude by giving and explaining your opinion on the dreams of modern teenagers
1) Вводное слово по теме проекта
Описание графика должно начинаться с вводной конструкции, резюмирующей то, какую информацию можно из него получить. Оно представляет из себя 2-3 коротких предложения, которые можно упаковать в разных вариациях:
- I have decided to do a project on… and found the results of an opinion poll to illustrate some of my ideas. Below I will give my comments on the results of the poll
- It is well known that (topic)
- Nowadays more and more people (action connected with the topic)
- Over the last few decades, there has been a significant increase in the number of people who (do something connected with the topic)
- (Topic) plays an important role in our life
- Undoubtedly, all people (action connected with the topic)
- Nowadays it is impossible to imagine … without …
В данном примере мы составили такую вводную конструкцию:
Indeed, Dreams are cherished expectations and ambitions people realize as long as they live. While doing a project on what modern teenagers in Zetland dream about, I found a diagram containing some relevant data that I am going to comment on.
2) Описание 2-3 фактов из графика
В следующей части необходимо подметить характерные особенности в таблице или графике, подчеркнуть яркие моменты. На данном этапе сравнения и анализы не нужны, они пригодятся только в следующей части текста!
Ты можешь использовать следующие фразы:
- As we can see from the chart, …% of … in … prefer … to (all other genres), while … is the least well-liked kind of … among ... Also, (teenagers) are keen on … and …
- The main features of this table/graph/pie chart …
- One can see from the poll that …
- The most popular … the least popular …
- If we look at the graph/table/pie chart, we can see …
- Looking at the main features …
- What stands out from the table/graph/ pie chart …
- Another striking feature is …
В нашем примере, мы решили упомянуть 2 ключевых факта на основе таблицы:
1) According to the diagram, 38% of modern teenagers dream about promotion. Getting academic qualifications comes second with 21% of the surveyed.
2) It can also be seen, that only 10% of teenagers prefer their financial wellbeing and it doesn’t seem to be one of their biggest dreams.
3) Сравнение 1-2 фактов из графика
Для выполнения следующего пункта задания нужно сопоставить между собой факты из таблицы и сделать на их основе предварительные заключения, которые в дальнейшем можно отразить в выводе. Для этого можно использовать следующие конструкции:
- Looking at the figures in the table, we can see that … (noted by … % of respondents) are almost twice as popular as ...
- Another interesting feature of the poll is that … are twice as favoured as … (... %). In comparison/ in contrast, …
- On the other hand …/ However, … / Likewise, …
- Not as … as
- While/ whereas / although / but
Также важно обратить внимание на то, что необходимо использовать синонимы (показать комиссии богатство своего словарного запаса и исключить повторения по тексту), а также выстраивать предложения в пассивном залоге (не «студенты хотят получить работу», а «желание получить работу более востребовано среди студентов»)
В текущем задании мы склоняемся к такому возможному варианту описания данного пункта:
1) The polling percentage shows that climbing up a career ladder is almost four times as desired as financial wellbeing, and it is a good sign indicating that teenagers prefer work responsibility over money.
2) At the same time, owning real estate is 3% more desirable than getting married, which is quite logical as one should have a house before having a family.
4) Выявление возможной проблемы и стратегии по её решению
Данная часть самая объемная во всём задании и представляет из себя выявление возможной проблемы, связанной с темой проекта. Помимо этого, также необходимо указать возможный путь решения.
Как вариант, этот пункт по данному заданию можно расписать так:
Although dreaming is always wonderful per se, there are two types of people – dreamers and doers. Most people cannot dovetail both these and that is a problem. Dream without action will never yield results. To solve the problem, a dreamer should pen down their dreams and prepare a roadmap to fulfill them.
5) Заключение с выражением собственного мнения
Заключение должно представлять из себя краткую (перефразированную!) выжимку полученных результатов, которая отражена через призму своего взгляда на выявленную проблематику.
Например:
To sum up, modern teenagers' dreams are realistic and achievable. Everyone wants to live in their own house, have a family and lovely children, be successful at work and afford not only basic necessities, but travelling and exploring the world as well. As it is said, where there is a will, there is a way.

Итоговый текст получился на 255 слов, что допустимо при выполнении задания, поскольку рамка 200-250 слов подразумевает «+» или «-» 10% как от минимума, так и от максимума (180 - 275 слов).
