Once there was a fluffy cat,
Her fur was soft, her eyes were fat.
She played with yarn and chased a ball,
And sometimes even tried to crawl.
But one day while she was napping,
A mouse appeared, her heart was tapping.
The cat woke up and saw the sight,
And chased that mouse with all her might.
She ran and leaped and pounced with glee,
But the mouse was quick, she couldn't see.
The cat was tired, her tail was dragging,
But the mouse just kept on zigzagging.
Finally, the cat gave up the chase,
And plopped down in her cozy space.
She licked her paws and yawned aloud,
As if to say, "I tried, but no mouse allowed!"
