It happened in Indonesia. The eruption of the Krakatau volcano began on May 1883 and ended on 27 of August in 1883.
It became popular because it is the most deadly eruption in the world. About 36.000 people died and 165 cities were destroyed.
The last eruption in Russia was on 22 of October in 2020. It was unnamed volcano which is near the village Klyuchi, Ust-Kamchatsky district. Luckily, no one died.
If you are near active volcano you must get away from it.
