Applicants from Lebanon got acquainted with SevSU at the educational exhibition of universities

Several thousand schoolchildren and students from Lebanon attended the exhibition-presentation "Education in Russia", which was held for three days in the largest cities of the Republic – Tyre, Beirut, Tripoli and Baalbek. The organizer was the Russian House in Beirut (The Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Lebanon).

The exhibition brought together 14 leading universities of Russia. Sevastopol State University was presented by Timur Gorobets, Director of the SevSU Representative Office in the Syrian Arab Republic, Maria Salloum, Specialist of the Representative Office, Vyacheslav Evgeniev, Deputy Director of the Directorate of International Cooperation. In total, the University's stand attracted the attention of more than three hundred potential applicants. Many of them expressed interest in obtaining higher education at SevSU.

The project started in the city of Tyre. High school students became the main audience there. Then the representatives of Russian universities arrived at the Russian House in Beirut. In addition to communicating with schoolchildren and students, they met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Lebanese Republic Alexander Rudakov. The conversation was about the promotion of Russian education abroad, the development of cooperation in the field of education and science.

"At the exhibitions in Tripoli and Baalbek, visitors were interested in the opportunities of admission to Russian universities, directions of training, and clarified whether Russian diplomas are recognized abroad. Young scientists found out what postgraduate programs there are. Schoolchildren and students of Lebanon showed great interest in medical programs and IT technologies", Timur Gorobets said.

The visits to universities and schools in Lebanon and meetings with members of the Association of Graduates of Universities of the USSR in Lebanon were also organized for the delegation.
