e.g. Just stick it back on and no one will be any the wiser.
3. WISE AFTER THE EVENT [BRITISH] - to know what you should have done after something has happened, but not while it was happening; сначала сделал, а потом подумал
e.g. It doesn’t help to be wise after the event.
4. WISE BEYOND YOUR YEARS - with more knowledge and experience than most people have at your age; быть умным не по годам
5. WISE TO SOMETHING - conscious of something that is happening, especially something bad; разобраться
e.g. The police are finally getting wise to how drug dealers work.
