One of the tasks in the "magazine" section is to write an article in which the author tells a story from life. As soon as I found out about this task, I immediately understood what I would cover in this article, haha :)
Embarrass yourself in 60 seconds
Hey! Do you think that the most shameful thing happened to you in your life? I hasten to disappoint you, because I am a leader in the field of shame. So, listen to my story.
This happened to me when I entered the 1st year of university and just moved into a dormitory. I hardly knew anyone yet, everything was new to me. And so, I'm walking around the room, sorting things out, not touching anyone. And then I hear a knock on the door. Who could it be, I don't know anyone, I thought at that moment. But I went to open it.
An unfamiliar guy was standing on the threshold. I still don't know his name, so let's come up with a name for him. Hmmm...let it be Pole. So, Pole is standing on the threshold, looking. Then our dialogue (please read with intonation, it will be funnier this way):
Pole: Hello! Is Alina at home? (Alina was my neighbor at that moment)
Me: Hello! No, she's not here right now.
Pole: Okay... Is there any Remantadine?
Me: Um, well, it's actually a women's block. Remantadin doesn't live here.
Pole (looked at me as the stupidest person in the world): Actually, Remantadine is such pills...
Oh my god... I blushed, quickly said that there were no pills either and slammed the door. So, guys, it was at that moment that I felt the maximum awkwardness. I've probably never felt like this before. What is the outcome? Be more attentive in conversations and learn the names of medicines!
