BEAUTY THAT CRIPPLES
When you're a teenager, you want to be fashionable, interesting and have a lot of friends. That day was the most ordinary when Anna heard from her classmate an interesting way to become more beautiful. She read in a fashion magazine that there are many different oils that can help you become more beautiful. Anna's classmate, whose name was Maria, used burdock oil. Thanks to this oil, her eyelashes became more beautiful, her hair shone, and her eyebrows became thicker.
Anna came home after this conversation and thought: "And I also want to become more beautiful, so I think I'll go and buy this oil too." The next day, Anna bought this oil and applied it overnight to her hair, eyelashes and eyebrows. According to the instructions from the magazine, it was necessary to leave the oil overnight and wash it off in the morning.
At night Anna suddenly woke up, turned on the light and realized that she had a white fog in front of her eyes. She was very scared and therefore quickly washed off all the oil, including from her hair, and went to sleep next to her. When it was time to go to school, Anna felt sick, there was still a fog in front of her eyes. She told her mother everything, and she allowed her to stay at home. After that, Anna went to bed again, and when it was 11 o'clock in the morning, her grandmother woke her up. And then Anna realized that she could not open her eyes because of the huge pain. She started crying, but it hurt her even more. As time went on, she felt worse and worse. Her grandmother was very scared for her and called her mom. So, mom came home from work and saw Anna writhing in pain, and immediately called an ambulance. Those who arrived immediately took Anna to the hospital. It turned out that she was allergic to burdock oil, which is why such a reaction occurred.
A week passed, and Anna was discharged from the hospital, every day she was given injections and various drops were instilled into her eyes. During discharge, the doctor told her the following phrase: "If you were late and arrived half an hour later, you would be completely blind. Is the beauty you've been striving for worth the price?". Of course, it's not worth it, and she now clearly knows it, beauty, which is achieved in questionable ways, will not lead to anything good. Anna no longer listened to her classmates and did not read advice from magazines. She just realized that she was already beautiful and didn't need any burdock oils.
