NIST standardizes Ascon family of algorithms for IoT and light electronics
The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has announced that the Ascon group of cryptographic algorithms will become the standard for lightweight cryptography in 2023. After the official publication, Ascon will become NIST-recommended cryptographic algorithms for light electronics and IoT devices.
