Accepting feelings from other people can be a difficult task for many of us. Our natural instinct is to protect ourselves and our own feelings, and it can be hard for some of us to let go of that protective barrier even when we are presented with the feelings of another person. In addition, our own past experiences and emotions can cloud our judgement when trying to accept someone else's feelings, making it more difficult to reach a place of understanding and openness. It takes courage, effort and empathy to accept feeling from others and truly understand them.
