Hello guys! Today I want to tell you about well-known fashion designer-Christian Dior.
He is one of the greatest french fashion designers. He was born in Granvile in January 1907. Later his family moved to Paris. He had no actual needs because of his wealthy parents.
He was always into art things. From really early age he started drawing. Although his family hoped that he would become a world diplomat, he always dreamed to be in fashion industry. At the age of 18 he dropped school to start his own art gallery(by his parents money obviously).
He was the one who invented a lot of popular types of clothes. He also made outstanding(for that year) model house that shaked whole world.
However, he made a lot of interesting and beautiful clothes, he didn't received any awards for them. He was once nominated for Oscar in 1958 as "the best designer clothes" but unfortunately it was 1 year later his death. Also he was nominated for "the best suits designer" in 1967.
He lived during really bad time. His family became poor because his father became bancrupt and he had to sell all of his property. Also during that time he became really depressed and went to Soviet Union as a tourist.
During WW2 France had really tough time and had to recover. Christian Dior helped a lot after war. He was a good person and a great designer. His designs are popular even now.
