McQueen always had provocative ideas and an extravagant style. His style of dress often had elements of rebellion and romanticism.
Alexander McQueen is a British fashion designer who graduated with a master's degree in fashion design in 1992. After graduating McQueen started his own business making clothes for women.
In 2001, he became the creative director of his own label. McQueen became the youngest designer to be awarded the British Designer of the Year award. He has worked with Lady Gaga, supermodels like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
Besides fashion, McQueen was interested in art and theater. His works have always gave strong emotions in the audience .
McQueen had a special view of beauty, which he compared to ugliness . He was sure that fashion should cause discomfort , make you think about modern society .
In 2009, McQueen had depression. despite this, he made a new collection. Some of the clothes were literally made of trash.
Unfortunately , he committed suicide in 2010. McQueen's mother died eight days before he committed suicide .
