Happy feast day of our beloved Saint Nicholas of Myra (Nicholas the Wonderworker), dear Orthodox brothers and sisters, and not only! He is my favorite saint, and I think for many of you too! Let's get acquainted. My name is Maxim Zlobin. With God's will, I completed postgraduate studies at the Moscow Theological Academy, and I have been engaged in educational ministry since 2009. For the past couple of years, I have been a consultant for the Synodal Missionary Department: I answer questions that people from all over the world come to the department with through the Viber channel. In 2020, my like-minded people and I organized the Orthodox community "Prosvet (Enlightment)-Community", which now has more than 1,000 participants. Not long ago, with the blessing of my spiritual father, I began a video mission on the Internet.
I would like to address everyone who may be reading my post with the main message in this welcoming speech: true happiness is in the fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ in His Holy Orthodox Church, in love for Him and for all people. I have experienced this, since until the age of 19, before becoming a member of the Church, I lived in hell, not understanding the meaning of life, tormented by passions. And then, after becoming a member of the Church, another life began, not always heavenly (although such a state often happens by the grace of God), but clear, rich and meaningful, leading to the main goal - to God in His Kingdom of Heaven, which begins in our souls here on Earth! This is the spiritual experience and spiritual happiness that I want to share with you, my dears! This is the Tradition of our Holy Orthodox Church! It is important to know, and to live by it not only for the Orthodox people, but also for those who are still looking for the Truth, and then he will come to Jesus. This is what happened with the people the Lord introduced me to in this life, among whom were not only Russians, but also Iranians, Tajiks, Kazakhs, Tatars, Kalmyks (by the way, at one time I participated in spiritual discussions, and in his Сhristening, with the grandson of the President of Kalmykia Kirsan Ilyumzhinov). I really hope that the word of God will reach your hearts through me, a sinner! With God's will, I will try to write about different things, and write in a clear language.
You can ask your questions at: prosvetsvlg@yandex.ru. And in conclusion, once again, happy holiday to all of you, my dears! Not only the Orthodox reveres St. Nicholas! And if someone still does not know who he is, then start asking him for help in prayer and you will immediately understand everything. I myself have had many miracles from him!
Let me tell you about one of them, the very first one. Then I, who had just become a university graduate, was assigned by a commercial organization to look for clients for a new advertising medium. Only many years later I realized that the very fact that there was essentially no advertising market in this area, as well as the fact that I, a young man, had to negotiate with representatives of large organizations (banks, factories, cinemas, etc.), made this miracle even more significant in my eyes! So, I am looking for clients, zero experience, advertisers too; a month, two pass by - the management demands results, but there are none. Even then, having been a churchgoer for several years, I remembered that people pray to St. Nicholas for his help in solving economic issues. And I began to pray to him. And what do you think?! After a short time, the first client responded - the owner of a large factory with history, and he turned out to be an Orthodox person! And then a whole line of clients formed until the end of the year (this was in the first or second quarter). Then Saint Nicholas helped me so many times with finances and in general with my work (later I was the owner of an advertising agency for about 10 years), that I already knew: in December (most often in this month, in which his main holiday is, help came) my problems would be solved, and again I would be able to breathe deeply!
Here, by the way, is a link to a large prayer to him (akathist): https://www.stmaryhillsboroughnj.org/files/Prayer/AkathisttoStNicholastheWonderworker.pdf

The power of Orthodox saints is in their special relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, who gives them the opportunity to help us all! Saint Father Nicholas, pray to God for us!
